Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar has asked China to cease its activities in Azad Kashmir India has asked China to cease its activities in Azad Kashmir, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar said today. In a written reply in Lok Sabha, he said that government has taken note of reports regarding presence of Chinese persons in Azad Kashmir (Azad Kashmir), including in Gilgit-Baltistan region. “Government has also conveyed its concerns to China about their activities in Azad Kashmir and asked them to cease such activities,” he said.



In another reply, he said the government has taken note of reports indicating increased Chinese ships and submarine forays into the Indian Ocean Region. “China has also been deploying naval ships as part of their anti-piracy escort force in the Gulf of Aden since January 2009. It is understood that 20 such deployments have been undertaken till date,” Parrikar said. Just yesterday i was reading this book 'Return of the Dragon' in which the author Danny Roy has made a statement that Chinese people take such statements very seriously, and plan their policies accordingly. So from what i gather, India wont be doing itself any favors by trying to provoke and confront China, let China rise peacefully, it will be beneficial for the world at large. Indian confrontational stance will gain nothing, Indian ocean region belongs to the world and not just India.
