I was born into a Deobandi Family. My parents were an ultra extremist Deobandi(after by Tablegh they are now behaving ). They never let us eat Kondas, Girahween k Chawal or Niaz of Muharram. They told us, all of this is wrong. But when I reached 10 years, my mom sent me to Madrasa to read Quraan which was run by Barelvis. She strictly told me not to follow them, just read Quraan. But Molvi Sahab was determined to make me Barelvi. I read Salawat after Juma, every Juma. Kissed my thumbs and touched my eyes on ever "Muhammad" S.W. He was successful in making me somewhat Barelvi. He always used to say that "Wahabi sab Kafir hain". And then I reached university. In university, I met a guy who was a Salafi. He preached me and again, told me everybody else is wrong. I was Salafi then . But then I started my own thinking process. And then I became a muslim. If you see closely, every sect is based on "some part" of Islam. For example, Tableeghi Jamat says that Islam is by Tablegh, and Islam is basically Tablegh(preaching). In fact its just a part of Islam. For Shias, Hubbe - ahle - Bait is enough, where as again, its just a part of Islam, not whole of it. For Barelvis, if you are Sunni, you are good to Jannah, and so on...
Tolerance for each other is basically what Islam teaches. Intolerance is basically the base of many social problems. The true line to follow should be: Do and learn your way, and let others what they learn and do.
I will conclude with narration of one happening. That will show you how Imams behaved.
One day Imam Malik R.A went to Madinah, and during Namaz, he didn't do Raf - Ul- Yadain. People asked him why he didn't do that. He said "I didn't do that just in respect of Shaikh ul Masjid(Imam Abbu Hanifa R.A)". So the difference of doing or not Raf - ul - Yadain was that small? And on things like this, many people call others Kafir and many have killed others.
May be many people don't agree with my views, and for that I am sorry, for my non-convincing logic.
So, lets take a moderate path, to just please Allah, just Allah. Now I support all sects, as each sect represent atleast one part or aspect of Islam. The aspects of sects which talk something not belonging to Quraan or/and Sunnah, are sure not aspects of sects, but of different religions other than Islam.
