There are Arab wannabes in Bangladesh but fortunately its a very tiny portion. These people can not tolerate anything unpleasing to Arabia and Pakistan (no offense) but they like to insult their own identity as being Bengali who are basically Indians by genes. Most Bangladeshis have soft corner towards India and you know in abroad if you say you are Bangladeshi people will say Bangladesh ! Which country is this? Bangladeshis have to say the country beside India or bordered entirely by India is called Bangladesh.

Bros, If any Bangladeshi bashes Bengali identity I request to Indian Bengalis not to get offended. You guys know much about Bangladeshi sentiments than other Indians.

Please don't bash Bangladeshis. We are not Arabs. We are Bangladeshis. Our religion may have Arabic influence but our culture is still Bengali. We love our culture and religion both.

I see many of you guys started bashing Bangladeshis after seeing those stupid idiotic comments made by almost all PDF Bangladeshis. They don't represent Bangladesh. Many of them even never visited Bangladesh. These people are mostly Sylhetis living in London who have no respect for Bangla language. I just read a stupid BD member's comment, 'Bengali language is so ugly language, I can not even say beyond Gho.' Do you think any respectful Bangladeshi will say Bengali / Bangla language is ugly?

I know there are lots of Bangladeshis living in India. The flow can not be stopped because geographically Bangladesh is almost entirely bordered from all sides by India. If you say send those Bangladeshis to their country it will create tension in your own country. Bangladesh is a vulnerable issue for India. If India wants to develop North East region you MUST always have extremely good relation with Bangladesh otherwise your North East region will suffer.

Bangladesh is a country which is almost entirely inside another country. If you try to deport illegals in BD , be practical, you just CAN'T deport. How can you border rivers? Its not possible.

The best way is India should legalize those immigrants except militants if any. Common Bangladeshis are so innocent and nice people. If you try to deport those millions of Bangladeshis from India which is almost impossible your own country will be divided again by riots between Muslims and Hindus. Just take action against anyone who is trying to destabilize the country but as for humanity's sake don't be cruel to those poor innocent Bangladeshis living in bordering states. I feel so sad for those victims who were killed in riots in Assam. Narendra Modi is a devil who is infamous for creating communal violence. He recently provoked Bados against Muslim Bengalis and see what happened. More than 30 were killed.

You are correct. The more your people gravitate towards a foreign religion which was historically never a part of your culture or land, the more they tend to forget who they are. and harm the very roots that define their ancestral identity and pride. Bangladesh what it is today, has also been an important cultural centre for Buddhists and Hindus for centuries. The region was always known for its rich heritage, arts, sciences, drama and poetry as well as renowned for its spiritual gurus who preached peace and global enlightenment.

Bengal was always a proud part of ancient India under various empires. Even as independent kingdoms, there was a lot of cultural exchange and a common bond between people of Bengal and other kingdoms; there are stories of traders coming from your place to our erstwhile kingdom of Sikkim as well.

So much so that despite you were a socialist country with islamic majority in 1970s, India and Bangladesh had a strong bond.

No one is angry about that. No offense mate, but wherever your current religion becomes stronger, the local culture and local affinity to the roots start dying. Whether it is Berbers of north Africa, the Kalash people of Azad Kashmir's adjoining Chitral province or even Malaysia and Indonesia, both of whom were Buddhist or Hindu culturally.

Bangladeshi sentiments were tolerant and were respectable until a few years ago when fundamentalists started infiltrating (you know the Jamaati types) from porous borders and started flooding into India creating problems in WB initially and then in entire Northeast.

Now it has become a problem in the entire country. These people have illegally crept in, without any work permit, work visa or work arrangement and indulge in anti-social and communal activities resulting in demographic tensions. Furthermore being unstable and taught the wrong essence of religion, they easily get brainwashed and become easy for jihadi sleeper cells to manipulate.

That is additional problem for us because we have enough ready-to-be-brainwashed-easily 'secular' religion's youth and had a hell of a time shutting down SIMI, a terrorist group misguiding young men and women into terrorism.

You seem sensible and balanced. But just look at the comments many of your comrades are making. They may be small amount but even if they are 20% of your population, we are talking about 24 million people and that's a big problem.

We have no problems if your people come in legally and with talent based on government procedures like any other country but there is a reason why you are a separate country and international processes are needed to be cleared before people can come here.

You're kinda right. I don't know about Bangladeshis here, but most Pakistani members here are living in western societies, be it UK, Australia, USA, Canada or any other place. Most of these guys don't have an idea about what the situation here is and often easily get carried away by their local political rhetoric they see on TV or internet.

Perhaps that is the case with Banglas too. You can tell better.

She has openly supported rioters against Assamese in the neighboring Assam, supported anti-Hindu agenda throughout her rule and has imprisoned or politically punished many people even from Muslim faith who speak practically and against her wrongs.

My friend, we know the difference between a Bangladeshi and an Indian Bengali and can easily make out the difference. This difference may not be evident to Indians in north or south or west, but we know the difference too well.

Looking at the bold part, it seems you are trying to threaten India into a 'what if' situation. Riots are something I am sure neither Hindus nor the Muslims (looking at the recent ferocity they have faced in retaliation) want. Neither do we want it here.

But if it comes to doing what is right and are threatened, entire India, be it the Hindus, us, Sikhs, Jews, Christians, Atheists etc will retaliate with ferocity and stand with Indian Hindus. It takes only one notice to bring the Army into a state and let them loose on rioters.

Have you gone crazy!? The Central government in India is of Congress, the ruling state government of Assam is Congress, the local authorities are Congress officials.
