Rafale jets are not enough to face Pakistani JF 17: Shahid Latif

again article created out of fart, Rafale has AESA radar to fully exploit Meteor range, JF17 BLK3 which is yet to be deployed. And BLK3 wont become a twin engine fighter overnight with AESA as advance as Rafale's and PL-15 also is not in same category as Meteor.
Rafale, the new raptor of the East.

The indians also claimed that the su-30 could decimate both the Pakistani and Chinese Airforces within hours. Now they are claiming that the French Rafales can do the same.............:disagree:............indians have already forgotton 27/02/2019...........:azn:............That too against a 7× smaller foe.............:azn:

definitely for JF-17 BLK1/2/3/4/5/6/45 doesnt matter both Rafale and F-22 kill these chinese cheap planes 10 out of 10 times. So yaa you can say Raptor or Rafale or Satan Jin doesnt matter.
I'm getting a sense of de ja vu.
We used to hear the exact same thing about the Su30 before we shot it down.

So sad that 1.4 billion indians need the expertise, science, technology and defence equipment from 65 million French citizens to make delusional claims.........that too against an enemy that is 7x smaller than india............:azn:.............8-)

They were just beginning to get vocal again when the Chinese brought them down a peg at Galwan.

Does PL-15 have an AESA based integrated system? Otherwise it's quite easy to jam the signal between two different mediums. JF-17 also has a single engine which is quite under-powered and the RD-33 and its variants have quite a lot of problems.

The JF-17 isn't something that is cutting edge but a budget plane that is there to replace Pakistan's 3rd generation aircrafts. No matter what some analyst say, the Rafale is definitely more advanced without a doubt.

That too when the PLA cracked open the skulls of over 20 indian soldiers and splattered their brain matter all over the Galwan Valley................:azn:............after which 1.4 billion indians were too frightened to even mention China let alone do something about it............:azn:.............8-)

To be fair, there is no comparison. Rafale is advanced technology but skills matter and our pilots are best.

JF-17 is a 4th generation fighter jet.

What writers and commentators always ignore is the "role" any fighter jet would be deployed. The deployment as a "strike fighter" or an "interceptor" has a major bearing on how a jet performs. Add to this: pilot skills, jamming capabilities and support from other aircrafts.

JF-17 will never be a deep strike fighter (excluding Block-III for the moment)......Rafael primarily will be one.

An interceptor, defensive role of JF-17 takes out lot of issues about Jeff out of the equation.

We are yet to see where Block III stands.

Rafael, in its role, has to counter many many threats. The hype that has been created about it means, even if one jet goes down the whole IAF will be deflated (just like SU-30MKI)

A single engine fighter jet can't be a deep strike one. Even the US F-35 isn't one.

This is not true ... the F-35's formal name is literally Joint Strike Fighter. Besides air superiority, it is also supposed to perform deep precision strike.
