2010 article talking about reduction of numbers from 350,000, so the numbers have been reduced exponentially now. The RR is the only force operating there with conjunction of the Kashmiri police. Other than that BSF and other units are guarding the borders and the LOC - remember that the Pak India border is a hot border where thousands of militants and BAT (Pak special forces and militant combine) units cross over throughout the year and cannot be left undefended, plus its a border where pakistan has done numerous adventurism's when it was left undefended.

And now you counting Paramilitary forces here? In Maharashtra state,there are 2 lakhs Paramilitary forces,plus Police personal. Is that under occupied forces?
