Whooping sum? It is a pittance. Hasn't Pak been celebrating 1965 all these years as "Defence Day" or some such? Who the hell celebrates a day on which you "defended" your country? As if you don't defend it on the rest of the 364 days...

I am against all sorts of Soviet-era military parades. I'd be happy if my tax money went into trust funds to help families of martyrs of '65. But then, that is me. But all Asian countries love chest-thumping and a show of military might.

That's a huge amount that could go in solving other India problems..celebrations for a month is riddicullus tbh and truly it seems like a pathetic attempt at infuriating Pakistan since why celebrate victory day on a stalemate war with losses when you actually have a victory in 71 and could do that in December. Oh well. Do whatever you feel like.

Posting on PDF won't change history ... Kashmir is still in India which was the objective of 1965 war and Pakistan lost more men and tanks for not getting Kashmir but to save their Lahore.
