I wasn't talking about it :D But I probably couldn't eat that one either, because I can't swallow fat, I'm chewing chewing and chewing but can't swallow :D

But I definetly like Saç Kavurma if meat is chosen from les fatty parts, its cooked with tomatoes, peppers and onions, these breaks the raw taste of meat which I don't like.

You can add some turmeric or onions or cinnamon to remove the smell of meat.

These are not common here :) for spicing we generally use black pepper powder, red pepper flakes, cumin and sometims thyme. but people are sometimes too lazy to properly use these, they just put some salt and done, I rage quit the table in that case :D

Bro, those stuff are not spices :) they are just for removing the smell of meat specially red meat. Then you can add pepper, salt, pabrika, ... to adjust spices and for your taste.

Just ate kavurma last month when i was in Turkey, why are you guys posting such thing in the middle of the night damnit, how should i find kavurma in Switzerland now? :pissed:

i'm pretty sure we do it on a daily basis, not kurban bayram. we cook it by adding kuyruk yağı (i think it's lard in english) :) sometimes we add sarı may (it's some kind of butter, like tereyağı but much stronger. once i gave it to some turkish guy and he vomited LOL)

well, we have a couple of Qovurmas, but we always add some stuff to it. Though, the Best one is səbzi qovurma that İ posted it's photo. :p:

Most common qovurma is basically only meat (without any other ingredient).

@rmi5 dude if u put it on fire the fat wil melt and the meat boiled with oil it will give u a pure oiled meat :bounce: :agree:

That's strange for me. what about bozbaş(it also has some other ingredients besides meat)? Do you consider it a qovurma or not. we do consider it as a qovurma.

What I mean by "qovurma" is meat fried in oil, nothing else. Bozbaş is not a qovurma.
