many things hold india together.. the fact that majority of Indians are hindus is one factor.. then there is fear of balkanization which scares the sh*t out of Indians(fear of pakistan)... from positive side common labour market.. railways.. bollywood.. cricket... those ek-anek DD ads for national integration...

I guess you don't know what blitzkrieg is. There won't be any Indian response. The main idea is to strike it hard the first time, capture as much land possible and offset your enemy. Enemy will have no other choice other than defending whatever left of it. Same Idea worked in 2002 standoff. As per wikileaks cables, if 2002 Indo-Pak war had started, Indian would be at several disadvantage. It took India whole month to mobilize its forces while Pakistan did it in days.

yeah.. pak tried that in 65.. and India did that in 71... (eastern sector).... India's plan will be to hold up kashmir and delay pak fauj for a few days at least(there is a reason why kashmir is heavily militarized and its not all for kashmiri civilians) till our strike force does similar op in punjab.. the cold start thingy is just that.. to strike fast into pak.. both sides are planning and practicing a blitzkrieg scenario.. and you dont need to mobilize the whole army(since 2002 India has invested quite a bit in heavy lift transport crafts).
can pak airforce ensure air support to the invading force in hostile area?

kashmir freedom fighters have been a non starter because kashmiris could not do a bangladesh in India(they could have done in 65)... and like I said IA has already god-knows-how-many divs in kashmir... I doubt IA will rush in additional forces instead of attacking punjab(which we did in 65).... punjab is the heart of pak fauj and we should attack it first, always and everytime.. the psychological damage it can do just by invading a few kms is amazing.

Wake Up Son. learn about thing or two about the professionalism and strength of Pakistan Army. There is a reason Pentagon, and Hillary clinton numerous time praised Pakistan Army professionalism and successes and ask to join US in different campaigns. Only one that praise Indian Army is NDTV or Bollywood.

That's' exactly what happened in Kargil. Main Indian Army infantry and attrally division were suck in to Kashmir, leaving Punjab boarder open. How about you read up your military blunders of Kargil and find out why Indian Generals got court martialed.
