More than 7,200 Indian Jews to immigrate to Israel

The same reason any Pakistani origin person settled abroad coming back to Pakistan

They are pakistanis from different religions going abroad for jobs.

But this case is different where only jews are leaving.

Are not they indian citizens? are not you giving them full rights?

How people from other religions are treating with them? specially hindus.

Is it hard for u to comprehend..???

To go back to Israel(the holy land- the origin of Jews) is a something like a religious duty of Jews..It has nothing to do with rights..Many rich Jews in America have gone back to Israel leaving everything they have in USA...peace and tranquility they enjoyed in USA..they chose to go back to Israel knowing very well that there is a large violence going on there..

you might be just a kid but you must understand that everyone has right to go where they want..they came here thousand of years lived here without any trouble and they are going to place where they want to go...

Only jews are leaving there must be something wrong.

That's the reason millions have left your country and they keep leaving.

Cultural mix: Jai Maharashtra in Israel

Indian expatriates nestled across the world may be losing touch with their mother tongues, but Maharashtrian language, literature and culture is being kept alive in one of the most unlikely corners of the map – Israel.

More than 30,000 Indian Jews, who began migrating to Israel in 1950, still recognise Marathi as their mother tongue and are striving to preserve the culture of their motherland in their new fatherland.

Their unique situation inspired Canada-based Marathi author, Dr Vijay Dhavale, to pen a book whose English translation, Maharashtra in Israel, was launched by the Indian Jewish Federation at Dadar’s Pracharya B. N. Vaidya Sabhagraha on Thursday evening.

“Even third generation Maharashtrian Jews in Israel today can speak, read and write in Marathi,” said Dhavale, who was invited to Jerusalem last year as the chief guest for the annual literary function of Mai Boli, a Marathi periodical published in Israel.

“Even though the Jews have fought bravely for their common land, race and culture, the one from Maharashtra still celebrate all the Indian festivals there, be it Diwali or Ganesh utsav,” said Dhavale.

Dhavale’s book emphasises the fact that India has been the only country in the world where there was no hostility towards Jews. In the 1950’s, in fact, trams in Mumbai would issue special coupons to Jews to use on Saturday, the holy day when the community does not engage in monetary transactions.

When Israel was formed in 1948, it was meant to be a melting pot for all Jews across the world. “Over the years, however, everyone realised that they wanted to preserve the cultures of their countries of origin,” said the consul general of Israel to Mumbai, Orna Sagiv, who was present at the launch.

Applauding India’s friendly stance towards Jews, she added that she did not perceive the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai as anti-Semitic. “The attack was part of a global terrorist movement which we all need to fight,” she said.

While Marathi Jews in Israel are maintaining their distinct Indian identities, the Indian Jewish Federation, stressed the need for minority rights for the community that has blended so well.

They are going to Israel, the mother land of all Jews. Why would a hindu, or a muslim leave to Israel

For those who can't understand this concept:
Aliyah is an important Jewish cultural concept and a fundamental component of Zionism. It is enshrined in Israel's Law of Return, which accords any Jew (deemed as such by halakha and/or Israeli secular law) and eligible non-Jews (a child and a grandchild of a Jew, the spouse of a Jew, the spouse of a child of a Jew and the spouse of a grandchild of a Jew), the legal right to assisted immigration and settlement in Israel, as well as Israeli citizenship. Someone who "makes aliyah" is called an oleh (m. singular) or olah (f. singular); the plural for both is olim. Many Religious Jews espouse aliyah as a return to the Promised land, and regard it as the fulfillment of God's biblical promise to the descendants of the Hebrew patriarchs Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Aliyah is included as a commandment by some opinions on the enumeration of the 613 commandments.[citation needed]

The basic concept is vaguely similar to that of HAJJ, only that you have to reside not just visit.
