lolzz...with RR engine...seems summer is extra hot this time.I think that deal is done.It will be twin engine.
Atak is twin engine,Tfx will be twin engine, even Altay is twin engine : D
Hope you folks acknowledge this fact for your side as well. Too many types are just an inefficient wastage of sources.Buying so many different types in such limited numbers is highly inefficient, I don't understand why so many are ignoring this fact. A duplication of training, spares, weapons etc etc with almost no commonality between them is just going to drain the PA's operational budget and lead to lower availability than fewer types with higher numbers.
Economies of scale chaps.
The engine is just one issue. Avionics and sub systems are the other. What makes you say so? As with Chinese systems, the engine is somewhat a problem but that is it. On all other fronts Z-10 is on par, if not better then T-129. Also comes with similarly impressive weapons package. Is sure to be a more flexible deal and not to mention that it comes from Phupoo
Just because the Halwa is not that good doesnt mean that the Kheer or Sheer qorma isnt.Same is applicable for JF-17, Al-Khalid and the rest of the Chinese equipment in Pakistan military's inventory, Right?
our missiles are for the Indian Armour...whenever they come a knockin ;-)I have a question and I don't know who can answer me. Why does Pak Army heli's never carry missiles? I've seen MANY Cobra flights even in combat. But the AGM missile hard-points are ALWAYS empty. Just the Rockets are installed in every case. Same thing is visible in the pictures of T-129 heli's too. No Missiles, just Rocket pods.
Any specific reason? @Irfan Baloch @Zarvan @DESERT FIGHTER (and whoever might know the answer to this)?
Ahh so its all about what you like. What if the rest of us don't even like kheer and prefer the taste of Halwa....After all taste vary from person to personJust because the Halwa is not that good doesnt mean that the Kheer or Sheer qorma isnt.
Indeed and steps are being taken to standardise/streamline. Pakistan seems to be going the other way.....Hope you folks acknowledge this fact for your side as well. Too many types are just an inefficient wastage of sources.
.
Winner takes all...this is like if PAF goes and buy f-15 saying we have f-16s, than buys j-10 saying we having Chinese experience, than go up buying rafale quoting french experience and end up buying mig 35 saying we operate f-7/mig 21.
at time like this when finances is an issue for PAF, PN , PA is going on shopping spree
if we are getting zulus than i even against argue buying any other platform let alone buying 3 different(z-10-turkish-mi35)
or govt should drop zulus and just stick to chinese or turkish option. this would save around 1-2 billion dollars
I guess this FACT is repeated over a DOZEN time on this forum.Indeed and steps are being taken to standardise/streamline. Pakistan seems to be going the other way.....
Turkish gains are also Pak gains, and vice versa. Somehow the Turkish systems or subsystems ultimately make a home in Pak. Even Panter 155mm guns, which, I need to admit, was highly imitative is in service with the Pak Army. For the systems with much more Turkish indigenousness it's not hard to imagine what's gonna happen...Bro, Pakistanis never had any prejudice when it comes to Turkey. I m no military stuff expert but there can be lot of reasons we opted for Chinese one over yours, money probably?
Whether we opt for Turkish weapons or not, we know your weapons are very lethal and of NATO standard, means Quality. People should know that we highly regard advancements you guys are doing in your "Made in Turkey" process.
All the best and good luck. Will love to see more cooperation in future.
Sir, current Z10 is under powered. Though Chinese are developing new engine with more power out put but it is yet to be seen.am not aware of the Z-10 trails,
I was replying to a poster who made the comment that two more (of Mi28, Z10, T129 selection ) would be added to the PAA for a total of 4 attack helos being operated by Pakistan in very very limited numbers.I guess this FACT is repeated over a DOZEN time on this forum.
That Pakistan is NOT going for all gunships it is evaluating.
Mi35 Is for special forces
Ah1Z is done case, 15 of them will arrive by 2018-19. They will form the "sharp edge" of Pakistan gunship fleet.
The back bone will be made by Z10/T129/Mi28. ONE will be inducted in Army aviation ...... with large numbers and meant to form back bone by replacing entire Cobra fleet.......
Its the subcontinent; hand desi's more money than they have been used to and they dont know what to do with it.Indeed and steps are being taken to standardise/streamline. Pakistan seems to be going the other way.....
Which is why you have food critics to set a standard and not every bad halwa being considered good just because someone likes it.Ahh so its all about what you like. What if the rest of us don't even like kheer and prefer the taste of Halwa....After all taste vary from person to person
This isn't unique to the subcontinent but his representative of human nature in general and is why there should be checks and balances built into the system from inception to purchase as well as an independent auditing process retrospectively. Its the subcontinent; hand desi's more money than they have been used to and they dont know what to do with it.

Considering the fact that both are pure bred attack helicopters and not multirole, means if inducted both will have the same role not different ones. I dont think our planners are dumb enough to induct two helicopters of the same role until there is a technological or proven capability gap between them like the one between AH-1Z and( Z-10 or T-129).Its logical if the roles of the platforms differ.
I agree, if there was a chance for blockage then our military wouldnt have tested them in the first place.USA and Europe is competing to be a part of TF-X program, establishing cooperatons with local institutes and offering extensive R&D opportunities. Turkish officials may use TF-X program to get all permissions regarding USA origin products for export markets but It should be noted that Neither Turkey, nor USA expressed a blokage for LHTEC engines to be likely export for 3rd party countries. In additions, Turkey selected same engine for domestic utility helicopter program as well. If USA issued such a blockage, Turkey wouldn't have selected same LHTEC 800A engines for another strategic helicopter program that TAI expects to reach a big market thanks to twin engine utility copter. There is no blockage so T-129 Atak is in Pakistan for trials !
