To fight insurgency we need to work on getting MRAP and Armed Drones, along with sealing border and more intelligence operations. MRAP are must. Soldiers need to survive most attacks so they live to fight another day. Turkey and South Africa are best source to get MRAP for soldiers.

As for the case of turkish vehicles, not all that glitters is gold. BMC Kirpi Series is good and one of the best while the BMC's Vuran MRAPs under-performed in libya, including various mechanical problems that were shown when multiple MRAPs broke down and were abandoned.
Nurol Edjer is good though , exported enmasse to Qatar , few units to Tunisia and few units + local production in Uzbekistan.
What most dumb **** dont realize HIT's not the only one responsible for making mrap , mvdre works on them first , and HIT's working well making Tanks, overhauling older ones and overhauling APCs and SPH's. Private companies are the mostly ones who come up with new MRAPs and stuff , which then gets locallized to be produced at HIT , example teh case with cavalier group's Interceptor.

As far as Armoured police vehicles are concerned , there are plenty, but its impossible to have every vehicle be a armoured one which is the dream of many retards around here, most of which often start their comment with Police needs a new APC and shit ... ... Punjab Police has Up-armoured M113s which can stop 14.5mm shells which is extremely good (some dumbos will also be angry at why can they only stop 14.5mm we need them to stop 20mm because we are facing insurgents with 20mm autocannons) .

In the end it all comes to this , god doesn't help those who help themselves, we cant always blame HIT for not doing anything when we ourselves arent doing anything , Private Companies need to be given incentives and need to come up with new vehicles, and pls dont fuking repeat the We need more armoured vehicles & HIT doesnt make anything rant again in the thread <>

If he said that Talibs are usually sitting 200 meters away from his position but there are times when he is not authorized to fire at them. Say during a cease fire time. Get all the MRAPs from the rest of the world if you think that will win the war. You are looking at just one aspect only of this God damn mess.

This war is much more than that, it starts from an ideology. It manifests in extremism and converges everything into religion to keep an ever lasting motivation. Funding is another factor, for dacoits and other low lives, the attractive part is money but here its different. A small payment for family expenses is never lucrative enough. Here, money is funding for weapons and explosives, the real payment is falsely contributed to attaining the level of martyr. Brainwashed people who blow themselves up think of this as an honor.

Politics of the region is another factor. It is influenced by culture also. The regions within Pakistan are so different too (FATA and Baluchistan). There is involvement of external factor like Uncle Sam sitting next door with other allies, trying desperately to control everything through show of force. Why do you think the term "dialogue" comes up now and then ? If according to you vehicles will win war, then dialogue shouldn't be a factor. How many aircrafts, gunships, UCAVs, MRAPs and other different types of weapons does USA possess in Afghanistan ? Has USA won through weapons like F-16, F-18, F-15, Predator, AH-64, AH-1Z etc yet ?

I have no solution for a single-track mind thinking.

It was out dated Mirages that went into IOK, dropped their loads and returned safely, not brand new F-35s. This obsession with a certain type of weapon system is not the solution. MRAPs are required, but even thousands and thousands of MRAPs will not win this COIN war. A few MRAPs will get destroyed and lives of soldiers will be spared, but when will the war end ? Next you will be asking for more modern and better protected MRAPs because the acquired ones got the crap beaten out of them.

There are thousands of veterans who have lost limbs thanks to this bloody COIN war. Many others are suffering PTSD. What about funding for these brave sons of the soil ? Have you opened a thread for such troops ? Have you fought online for their cause to get robotic arms and legs ?

Can you imagine the plight of a veteran who says," Sir, Allah ka shukar hay k apnay bachon ki shaadi hotay huay dekh sakta hoon, magar Sir, haathon se mahroom ho gaya hoon. Toilet use karnay k baad har dafa biwi ko awaz deni parti hay".

India has tried to stretch Pakistan on both borders - east and west. Weed out the traitors with in. Give people relief through Government funding to end poverty in areas affected by terrorism. Send humanitarian missions and set up relief camps in such areas, not through Army but through initiative of local Govt. Where are the funds spent which Federal Govt hands over to local bodies of these areas.

I hope one day you understand that getting all the goodies (weapons) will never be be enough. Don't ask me why. You can see yourself what is happening to uncle SAM in Afghanistan with all his might and power.

yes but we did some things pretty late like fencing and making FC self sufficient but it doesnot end here i think we should use the best weapon of all time.The mind.These wars are fought and lost in minds of our enemies.In my humble opinion what if the government undertook big projects in the remotest district and suppose the insurgents attack it.The locals will know that suppose that big school government made would have changed his son's future or the tubewell project would have saved their long journey to the water resorviour.Point is they are our people and we know them and love them.Our soldiers are not heavy metal listening marines from 10,000 miles away we have a huge advantage,we are aware of their problem.Let's start by creating a big sports centre in Turbat for the locals and lets just say it will be free peope will hesitate at first but then slowly the balance will tilt.Point is start from most remote , grass root level because that interaction will determine that wheter he will be a traitor or a patriot.Anyway writing this from comfort of my bed away from operation area.Hoping one day i will be there to serve god bless our soldiers.
