Why India is not a superpower

Indians click on the link. Know thyself and thy position.
that 300 billion divided by 1.2 billion does not go very far.

Pakistan's forex reserve is just 16 Billion, 1/20 time that of India.

Compare yourself to a country that has a similar population like China next you will be comparing yourself to Nepal

Are you ashamed of discussing literacy rate of Pakistan because your literacy rate comes among worst in the world.

That you can start another thread. This thread should be made a sticky cos you Indians should be reminded of what you really are.

oh..so much desperation...go ahead....Hope u always remeber what you are! lol...

Oh but we don't want to be a superpower, genius. As long as our region is in our control, we don't mind if China is interested in taking the crown from Unkil Sam. Let them do the world policing in the new era. We're find being the next best thing.

The simple reason why we aren't where China is today is because of the ruling party of this country since its inception and the corrupt kleptocratic system that we function in. Otherwise there's little to stop us from attaining power. We have to improve and there's a long road ahead.

what a joke! how can india be a superpower when even her smaller neighbor pakistan have more global influence? again, i've said this before, india is super poor/hungry/illiterate/malnourished/uneducated/etc, not superpower.

The person's country you are quoting could not even get a bronze. Did you thought that? But India won some other medals in 2008 Olympics, but your tiny brain cannot have it, Its normal though.

Of course India is not prospering. India has as much power of becoming a super power as Nepal. we will hold you down

Do you realize what is holding you down? The idea of holding others down, trying to bring them to your level, instead of the idea of surpassing the opponent.

Yea why not Indian don't want to hear the incredible truth about India

That you can start another thread. This thread should be made a sticky cos you Indians should be reminded of what you really are.

Indians know the truth about India but you don't. But why you are trying so hard to cover up current situation in your country only through bringing some bad news about India? We have much much better thing going on. We have a good fuiture and we are improving at rapid pace. But what is the positive about yours?

Don't try to see the lower part to get mental satisfaction after all these bad things happening in your country, try to learn from the positive side of India.

Is that what your Chinese television teaches you ? feel sad for the brainwashed society that you live in, my sympathies.

Indians should hardly be bothered about whether India is going to be a super-power or not. That being said, the government should stop being scared of adopting tactics like

1) conscripting all able bodied young men(living below the poverty line between the ages of 16-26) into the army/navy for a minimum of 7 years, and within this 7 year period, they must learn to read, write, learn the importance of team-building and maintenance, and once their service is up, they have the option to go to college/university with the specific branch of the armed force funding their education with the condition that they serve another 5 years or be discharged from the army with a minor pension, and once they graduate, they'll be in a better position to fend for themselves work-wise and personally-wise.

2) Not giving a rats *** about how a particular group of individuals (be it hindus, muslims, atheists, etc) interpret the manner in which the country should be run. NO VOTE BANK POLITICS. NO PREFERENCES.

3) Understanding that south asia has been scarred, even possibly beyond the hope of repair by 60 years of wars (not including the centuries before that), and that India's neighbours are equally suspicious of her intentions as India is of her neighbours, therefore India should 'aggresively' ignore any jabs/insults/threats thrown at her, but at the same time, take no sh!t.

4) Forget the whole pride thing about indigenisation, the politics of the last 20 years have depleted the armed forces' strengths, if India has to develop a particular component/technology/weapon, don't entrust it to one agency (in this case DRDO), competition is a good thing.

5) Finally, recognizing that a 'super-power' tag at times gives certain incumbents (during their time) a massive ego, which leads to decisions that adversely affect not only the citizens of that country but elsewhere where the impact of their actions as a result of their ego can ruin lives.

neither u have the intellect nor the power to hold us down. u guys just belong to the highly insecure class of people who cannot achieve something so thus try to bring others to your own standards.

India's too poor, too hungry and too illiterate to claim superpower status.

It is very unfortunate that economically resurgent India still remains home to the world's largest population of poor, hungry and illiterate people. Tragically, hunger remains India's biggest problem, with an estimated 7000 Indians dying of hunger every single day. Over 200 million Indians will go to bed hungry tonight, as they do every night, according to Bhookh.com. Along with chronic hunger, deep poverty and high illiteracy also continue to blight the lives of hundreds of millions of Indians on a daily basis.

Haq's Musings: 63 Years After Independence, India Remains Home to World's Largest Population of Poor, Hungry and Illiterates

Shame on you Indians even when this stare at you. You still talking without thinking lol
