I normally see Pakistanis looking up too the various Arab and Central Asian empires however they have no real connection with Pakistani people. So who do you really look up too in your heritage.

They have religious connection(Islamic/muslim heritage) if not cultural.

Islam is a incredibly large religion and there are many empires that come under it. I want to know which could be considered part of Pakistans heritage?

Although i hate disrespecting any religion but for troll threads like these one will get the reply as in post#2.

But you love disrespecting other religions especially Hinduism, one should take a look at your other posts. And how is this a troll thread?

All the Muslim Empires that saved us from worshipping animals and statues.

They also raped your women and executed your relatives who didn't convert.

Its all depend on how you define Pakistani heritage. Pakistani people have religious identity then they have cultural identity Faith is also a part of identity and it influence your culture. Which identity you consider part of Pakistani heritage? You said these Islamic empires have no real connection with Pakistani and i said that they have religious and idealogical bond with Pakistani Muslims because they are the follower of same Prophet(PBUH) and Religion that's why we give respect to those early caliphs of Islam who were Arabs by origin but still we are proud on the their achievements for Islam.

@Trev: Isn't it apparent? Any Islamic kingdom on the Subcontinent is good enough to be claimed as the legacy of Pakistan(not necessarily the Pakistanis). Pakistan sees itself as the successor state of the Islamic kingdoms of the subcontinent. As for Pakistanis, it depends on their family history I guess. While most there have Hindu ancestry, many also have Afghan,Turkic, Persian and even Arab ancestry.

The Mughal Empire ought to be the kingdom that is identified by most Pakistanis as it was the most powerful Islamic State ever on the Subcontinent.

I don't think any other Nation thinks along these lines though. Am yet to come across an Arab or Persian guy who is happy about the achievements of Sufi saints of the subcontinent. Heck, they're not even happy that you have the A-bomb.

Am yet to come across a Christian guy who said that any conquests done by Spain, Portugal, Italy, UK, France etc were Christian conquests over other religions. As for Indians, nobody gave a rat's @$$ to Nepal even though it was the only Hindu kingdom for a long time nor to Bali which has a Hindu majority.

Just an observation and not meant to hurt or inflame anyone.
