Persia in the bible.

"In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, in order to fulfill the word of The Lord spoken by Jeremiah, The Lord moved the heart of Cyrus king of Persia to make a proclamation throughout his realm and to put it in writing: "This is what Cyrus king of Persia says: "The Lord, The God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and He has appointed me to build a Temple [see Temples] for Him at Jerusalem in Judah. Anyone of his people among you - may his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem in Judah and build The Temple of The Lord, The God of Israel, The God who is in Jerusalem." (Ezra 1:1-3)

If I am not mistaken. It is in surah Rome.

The back ground, if i am correct. Rome and Persia went to war against each other, during the time of Rasool Allah (saw). The mushreek Arabs said to the Muslims, wait till the Persian mushreek defeat, Rome (people of the book) then the Mushreek Persians would come after the Muslims.

But that did not happen. The Romans "eventually" were victorious in their battles.

Check surah Rome, and its back ground for more info.

Ar-Rum - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"According to Theodor Nöldeke, Surah 30 was antepenultimate surah revealed in the late Meccan period and the eighty-fourth chronological surah overall, with the exception of the 17th ayah in the surah, which he argues was revealed during the Medinan period.[2]While the first ayah of the surah refers to the defeat of the Byzantine at the hands of the Persians near Damascus in the spring of 614, Nöldeke notes that this does not necessarily indicate 614 was the year in which the surah was revealed.[3]

The surah begins by noting the recent defeat of the Romans (Byzantines) by the Persians at the Battle of Antioch. This defeat posed a significant theological and sociological problem for the early Muslim community because the Christian Byzantines were considered People of the Book, or monotheists, while the Persians who defeated them were considered idolators. The surah is in part a response to the non-Muslim Meccans who took this victory as a sign that traditional polytheism would win out over monotheism.[4] In the third and fourth ayat, the Muslim community is promised that the Byzantines will reverse their defeat into a victory "in a few years' time".[5] This victory did eventually come at the Battle of Issus in 622."

The surah directly mentions the Romans. The name surah itself is Rome, and it indirectly mentions the Persians. those who know, the historical back ground of this surah, know what is being implied, when it is said, Romans have been defeated, referring to Persians defeating the Romans, at that time.

Surat Ar-Rūm (The Romans) - سورة الروم

غُلِبَتِ الرُّومُ

The Roman Empire has been defeated-

فِي أَدْنَى الْأَرْضِ وَهُم مِّن بَعْدِ غَلَبِهِمْ سَيَغْلِبُونَ

In a land close by; but they, (even) after (this) defeat of theirs, will soon be victorious-

Within a few years. With Allah is the Decision, in the past and in the Future: on that Day shall the Believers rejoice-

You can't reliably enumerate empires in human history, let alone enumerate them by some ranking criterion. Humans' knowledge of their own history is very patchy and shamefully shallow.

he Srivijaya started as a project by the Japanese Emperor Koizumi to attack the Sinicans from another angle on the Asian Continent. The Srivijaya Founders were a mix of Buddhists who were thrown out of the Maurya Empire in India under the leadership of a man named Thenmobala, who then established the splinter religion of Thenmobism, as well as immigrants from the Cambodia region of South East Asia, who then became the ethnic majority in the country and from where the name Khmer originates. The Thenmobis religion became a guiding principle that led to the conquest of a part of Sumatra before the Japanese intervened. The imperial vision that the Khmer leaders was only achieved with the weapons and strategy of the Japanese and if it was not provided then their aspirations would likely have been set back many decades or centuries perhaps. In 677 (76 BC) the first maharajah was declared and he set out to take the islands of Indonesia, the taking of the sparsely inhabited, though Sinican dominated, Southeast Asian Peninsula also provided many aspects of respect and diplomacy with the Mainland countries. The Srivijaya had a small war with the Japanese to take the islands of the Philippines but the end of the conflict concluded with the largest island of Luzon going to the Japanese and the remaining smaller islands left to the Japanese. The Srivijaya name comes from the Sanskrit, ancient language of Buddhists, words 'Sri' meaning 'radiant' and 'vijaya' meaning 'victory'.
