Çiriş with eggs, this is made from a mountain plant that is found in winters in my region, I never ate unfortunately, some people put milk in it as well.

I grew up in Izmir (spent 6yrs in Turkey). This post brings back great childhood memories thanks a ton. Would wish you could share or at least provide links for recipes.

Lucky for me a Turkish restaurant opened up in Karachi last year so I can have Pide and Lamajuns but need recipes to try the other stuff. Im a pretty good cook when I have the time so will try Turkish for Iftari.

I love this:
my mother had lived some time in a cerkez köy she learned it there so I do not know how common this is :)

there is also a version with ail and yoghurt.. then at top there is a "sauce" of oil and red pepper pulver you have to slightly roast the pepper powder in oil

cerkez manti (its like kayseri manti just bigger) mostly filled with potatoes

Turkish food is disappointing. No meat no care. Brotien is where it's at. Not the food that my food eats. Pfffffft.

Oh Lord, I clicked this thread for the love of Turkish food and solidarity with our Turkish kin. But I'm fasting so this has been a major own goal. :fie:

LoL, are you sure you went to the right for your Turkish food :)

Someone probably scammed you.

Okay poofter :D

I love the donner, love it. Love that salty delish. Apart from that the pics inthis thread are disappointing.

I dunno, I see döner, etli ekmek, pide, lahmacun, adana kebap. Tukish cuisine is actually full of meat dishes.
We're also full of vegetable dishes. You should especially try all the meze type foods.

İ'm not also that much of a vegetable guy, but meze's are really good.
