I don't think that digi cams suit for south Asian terrain of forests and then suddenly snow and then suddenly deserts etc. That is more reasonable for an expeditionary force that uses it in fixed terrain. Getting digicamos will not get us more innovative. Even we don't want to go for digital camos and rather stick to usual ones that are better due to south Asian terrain.

The main reason for the Pakistan Army to have a re-designed uniform is to reduce the overall manufacturing cost of it. Metal badges and plastic name tags per person cost much more compared to thread sewn shoulder badges and name tags. In everyday/ combat use, GHQ intends to use the 'thread' based uniforms as much as possible. That is a saving of millions of Rupees annually! 'Metal' based uniforms will strictly be limited to ceremonial use.

Also, switching from Khaki to Camo was done because in Khaki most of the senior generals looked FAT! Camo literally hides those built up extra pounds around the waist!

Yup, that;s the new uniform, but the Pakistani Flag and the formation sign are different, they are place on the same strip and attached with velcaro. Also other insignias like Koh Paima, Gliding etc would be on a single strip attached with velcaro on the right arm.

No more shoulder ranks but they would be placed on the front of the shirt. Khaki uniform is also gone.

good i was not happy when saw our men in UN missions with some titles missing on shirt but our rivals' were visible on front of shirts.

Atleast after so many decades somebody is using his own brain to make new things..........not just follow the british things which they left in Sub-Contenent.
