Probably the opposite, they are so thankful a lot of the times they see even constructive criticism as an insult and create an echo chamber exclusively of praising the armed forces, from my limited experience

Sadly it now seems that, Irfan Baloch, a very respected senior member has now also left this forum. He informed me that he was very disheartened by the personal abuse he was getting from some particular members. This apparently happened while I was on holidays for a couple of weeks, so I'm not sure what was the core issue. It seems that the PDF Admins and management didn't take any notice or action on what was happening, which in it's self is disappointing to say the least. Constantly other members are complaining about mostly Indian trolls and members with fake IDs ruining this forum, I'm not sure if Irfan Baloch was victim of these same low-lives but he certainly felt let down.
To maintain some sanity and quality of this forum, the PDF Admins need to gear up and set the house in order.

IB shouldn't engage in political discussion. Panzerkiel wisely avoids such discussions and just sometimes gives love reactions.

People are involved in politics and like to discuss such things. Leave them in their eco chambers.

Anyway, this 'break' is also good and let the dust settle. people will come back to their original interests/posts/threads.

I was always interested in politics but mostly Indian politics and it potential fallout/repercussions on Pakistan. With the chaos at home, I have been away from political developments in India.

Don't worry you haven't missed much. Updates: BJP won their home state, lost a small state. Adani going through bad times, but desh still badal raha hai, aage badh raha hai. Modi is still winning in 2024. Sepoys seething eternally on various spaces.

Sorry to hear that ....I agree generalization needs to stop, bad acts of a few can be held responsible every one of the same clan or group.

once I got a member banned for 3 months and another for 12 months but by some miracle they were both lifted after 3 days

Hate to say this but PDF reminds me something of the Pakistani parliament, laws and rules are introduced but never implemented. We are for example advised not to respond to trolls or engage in abusive lingo and report the culprit. Yet to see any actions being executed... The best that would happen is wordings like Pakis, beggars, bikari etc. May get removed and the culprit remains free to abuse another day.

There are some really good posters here, people whose perspective I, as an Indian, like to read. Informative, insightful and patriotic, without the nationalistic or religious hysteria displayed by some posters on either side.

He’s one of the good ‘uns. Agnostic Muslim, Signalian, blain, Rescue Ranger, Waz are some others I recall, though there are more.*

I don’t comment a lot (comparatively) here, but I feel that the quality of old is being drowned out these days. Perhaps it’s just a phase.

*As an aside, now that I’ve mentioned these guys as good posters, I guess they can all be accused of being Indian spies!
