IAF dispatched Sukhoi-30MKI to deliver liver and kidney.

Glad to know a life is saved. However the real question should be that why all this for one case ?? Will this facility be extended to all other critical cases as well ?? Before any member starts repeating this Pakistan vs India trash talk please be assured that we all Pakistanis will be very happy if all the IAF planes are reserved for this duty 24x7x365.

lol :rofl::rofl::rofl:, i am not sure if India is that much kind

Well a dedicated Helicopter service would make much more sense .. but dispatching fighter plane for organ transplant is down right wrong at every level ..

This is India not a nation like in our western side ,IN dornier craft transported the vital organs for a rickshaw driver in Kerala .
Our Forces is work for our own nation not for their own corporate interests like in some other nation.
Jai Hind

1) The containers could either have been handheld by the WSO in the rear seat OR put in the storage space in the fuselage of the plane below the pilots (this is where personal items of fighter pilots are usually kept for long-haul travel).

2) Why a MKI? Possibly due to the need to transport the organs at speed, as noted in the article the MKI is the fastest a/c in service with the IAF- a civilian a/c or IAF transport may not have been quick enough.

Why is this Crap about a Sukhoi being used for the purpose being digested and regurgitated?
An Embraer was used for the purpose and 4 persons accompanied the organs. Could that be done in a Su-30 MKI?

Anyway read on here...... Liver, kidney airlifted in fastest plane from Pune to Delhi | Punekar News

Bottom line is SU-30 would make a good Air Ambulance.

It was a VIP Embraer jet, with a team at RR on standby on the other side.

This is from one of the team members on the jet.
