What's new

IAF dispatched Sukhoi-30MKI to deliver liver and kidney.

just read the whole post, it does look like misuse of assets. They are not going to do it for civilians are they?

Any idea how big was the container and what about the chilling requirement?

Where was the container kept?
Well the size might depend of the organ's weight and size itself, but these are cryo containers and surely can fit inside a fighter jets storage area.

BioLife Solutions – NEW Precision Thermal Shippers

On topic: a very noble gesture. Authorities must be congratulated for co-coordinating in a very efficient manner. It is indeed a heart warming story of a lady who gave life to two others even in her death. May God grant peace to the soul.

it's Russian aircraft - must have Vodka bottle cooler
Ha! Stereotypes....

But anyway, good story.
Well the shape and size of container isn't much different than a picnic drinks cooler

Now only if India showed this type of care for its other 600 million poor starving and destitute

On topic: A life saved as if you saved all of humanity......

yes it does, pizza comes in 3 sizes 250 pounds, 500 pounds,1000 pounds........its has a thin metal crust that melts in after the blast, has one of the worlds best topping's, filled with gooyee RDX, that will blast ur head into the sky.....:p:......and sprinkled with the best small diameter bombs that gives it a unique destruction capability......"WOULD U LIKE TO ORDER SIR???":enjoy:.......war time delivery is free sir:oops:......:azn:

Now only if India showed this type of care for its other 600 million poor starving and destitute
Why doesn't Pakistan set an example by caring for its 180 million starving and destitute so that India can follow? :azn:

I was going to ask the same question. I take it was the normal size i.e. hand held and would be put in the back seat?

There's a storage area behind the second seater for a personal bag, if it was the size of a picnic cooler or the sort, it could fit there. I don't know the exact size of the storage area for an MKI though.

Last week similar in a similar incident, Dornier of IN was used to transport a heart from Trivandrum to Cochin.... I dono why they chose Su 30, Pune had other platforms also........Any way it is good that we could save 2 or 3 lives.....

Glad to know a life is saved. However the real question should be that why all this for one case ?? Will this facility be extended to all other critical cases as well ?? Before any member starts repeating this Pakistan vs India trash talk please be assured that we all Pakistanis will be very happy if all the IAF planes are reserved for this duty 24x7x365.
