by the way it not important , you simply won't shoot down an airplane when you are no at the war with that country for several second of violation of air space you escort it out, as a matter of fact it was not even several second of violation by them if your map is true it shows that the second that airplane entered your airspace you shoot it down , the plane was no even 20m in your space before you fired the missile.

well it is win-win for Uncle Sam and cronies. It was thought Turkey was looking east now rather than west now.In coming days it was said Turkey and to some extent Poland will have impact on whose side they decide to be on. Why isn't it fair? Syrian army is Syria's legitimate army, isn't it? Turkey supports rebels, Syria fights rebels and shoots down a Turkish jet over its territory. Russians were called in by the same Syrian army.

The issue is who is more legitimate, the rebels supported by Turkey or the Syrian army that governed the state for decades?

Assad is a tyrant, but are rebels good.

Look at the history of USSR invasion of Afghanistan where Afghans had official or so called legitimate army and govt why did we Pakistanis did what we did during that era? if you understand that you will understand Turk point of view. Turkey is going to pay heavily for the thrill of the feeling you get when you pull the trigger. That missile launch from so far away was uncalled for and not necessary.

Turkey has lost its patriot missile batteries I believe----and now the russians have the Turkish given opportuniy to bring their LR SAMS in the arena.

This is basically a failure of Turkey to understand the consequences before it raised the level of conflict to a few notches higher. Many in the west are pleased at Turkey because it dug itself deeper into the trouble.

Now---where are those Turks on this board who were mad at me a few months ago----specially that Turk moderator who gave me 2 negative ratings----.

Turkish members were all over the forum jumping for joy after downing the Russian jets and killing a defenceless pilot.

Turkish members and its fanboys are nowhere to be found now after seeing Russia's response of bombing the Turkmen (Turkey powerless to stop it), bombing the trucks that carry weapons to Syria on the border, deploying the S-400, deploying the Moskva missile cruiser and Putin promising anymore attacks on Russia will see a swift retaliation.

Did Russia invade syria? No excuse of destabilizing a sovereign state. IMO Pakistan along with CIA fought the USSR and the result was destruction of the afghan state and massive bloodshed ....and a country where extremism flourishes.

Turkey is proving to be cannon fodder in this, at the end, Turkey will be left with 2 million refugees, armed militias both kurds, and islamic extremists and open borders and why because Turkey is hell bent on destablizing the Syrian state along with CIA, Mossad and the rest of the qawwal party.

you can be assured that we won't open fire at any plane just 20m inside our border. and Ahmadinejad didn't open fired on any country plane , for example when British navy violated our waters we didn't sank them , we arrested them and then returned them to England.
