I have no problem with hijabs but full or near face veil is to extreme, and is open for abuse by criminals that don't want to be identified.

No law enforcement would want to unveil a person to id them unless they are very certain. This gives to other logistical problems.

Hezbut Tawheed, a Bangladeshi Islamic movement is fighting this type of regressive veiling practice with original massage from Quran and Hadith. They keep women in their all religious and social activities and those women wear modest cloths with head covering but no burka or niqab. They are also against Mullaism and militancy. They are campaigning agaist Mullas earning their livelihood by selling religion through their Waz-Nasihat and Madrasas. Mullahs in Bangladesh consider Hezbut Tawheed to be heretical but this organization seems to be gaining followers in Bangladesh considering how much Wazi Mulla-Moulovies is venting anger against them. Hezbut Tawheed is popular in Facebook, their videos and posts gaining millions of views.
