BTW i forgot to add an important note...
Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN is the 1st President who is elected by Public...
After Atatürk!
In my opinion, Turkey could be proud with him as president. He is striving towards complete independency of Turkey.
Shhh the foreigners always know best.I think you meant the complete islamization of Turkey...
Maybe being sarcastic ?Shhh the foreigners always know best.
And he's obviously not dutch, cant immagine a dutch ever saying something like that.
New Recruit

Secondly, my comment was about the fact that the turkish defence makes incredible improvements with his attanding in the turkish politics. I know the Turkey of 15 years ago, because I have much relations here in NL with turkish people, been there a couple of times, and it was unbelievably dependent to other countries, especially, the usa etc.
They're still dependent, but the improvement is incredible if we look 15 years ago.
Well he wasnt elected but it was only natural him being the first president since he is the one who established the Republic. After Atatürk!
wasnt elected
What do you wanna say? Actually i know exactly, just remember without him there wont be democracy in Turkey so spare me the trash talk.that makes him what?
Presidents before him were being elected by the people too in the Parliament. Having 21 million votes from 56 million voters doesn't give him the right to act as if he is above the constitution, which he took an oath on his honor and dignity not to break it, yet he does that almost on a daily basis. The president should represent the integrity of the state and solidarity of the people. But he does not represent me nor millions like me in his fancy palace. He is not impartial nor does he try to look as such. He is still the head of AKP more than he is the head of the state.
