JF-17 Block III's proposed AESA Radar KLJ-7A

JF 17 can load Ra'ad under each wing but we have to strengthen wing load capacity.

Hi,

Youngman---welcome to the forum----see my age on this forum and otherwise---.

Are you going to tell the enemy to wait---hold on---our aircraft is not ready for strike because wings needs to be strenghtened---.

And no---they cannot be loaded under the wings---because as a heavy missile---after the launch of one---the aircraft would get un balanced---. It will stay under the belly.

Sir Thanks for the reply,

Did you know toss bombing?

Where fighter jet either with load two heavy bombs under each wing or loaded with one dummy and one real bomb ejected both at same time to counter this problem further fighter like JF-17 equipped with FBW system which help pilots to maintain smooth flight despite one wing is heavier.

Further at any time few JF-17 could be modified with heavy wing load capacity to perform these roles or may be they already have few for this.

Yaw and Roll Axis of JFT does not have Fly By war. Its conventional controls.
Only Pitch Axis is fly by wire so NO.

Hi,

Yes---I know toss bombing---it started long before most of you kids were born---alcm's are not toss bombed---. The talk is of lower profile clearance of aircraft and alcm---and not toss bombing---.

JF17 is a lightweight aircraft---FBW or not---it is not suitable for two alcm's.

FBw takes a lot of the balancing issues out(C-802 on one wing , fuel tank on the other), the problem is clearance and weight. Not just ground clearance but that to the aircraft itself from the pylon. Then there are aerodymanic forces that effect seperation during launch.

Hi,

Hatf V111 is an over 1100 KG alcm---. Even an F16 would have a hard time manipulating two of them in a launch sequence on each wing---.

For that very reason the Japanese build the F2 about 25% larger than the F16---. Their primary goal was to have minimum two heavy anti ship missiles on each aircraft---because they knew beforehand that their primary battle was over the seas---.

Paf just did not acknowledge it in a timely manner that the future battle would also be over the seas as well on the pakistan front---they still have not.

here with two asm1 or asm2 on each wing of F2---. the asm 3 is a much heavier missile---over a 1000kg---so 1 on each wing of F2---.

Trimming controls was in use even in 2nd world war and in that war single propeller fighters were customised to bomb as well, and they were even lighter. There was no issue of aircraft getting unbalanced and uncontrollable even in manual, hydraulic controls. Pilots needed to make adjustments. Trimming is even used in aircrafts with full FBW on various occasions. And all bombs put some restrictions on flight as well as drops in speed, altitude etc.

In case you want to have one alcm under the fuselage (provided it is accepted that it or a version of it cannot be at that position) the main benefit is to be able to use two full external tanks and the requisite effect on range.

It's not so much lack of acknowledgement, but rather, the state of our capabilities when we first started on Thunder. A lightweight fighter was the right choice to make as the first ever made in Pakistan given our industrial base and technical ability.

Today, Thunder can carry two anti-ship missiles. Air to air refuelling reduces the dependency on fuel tanks.

At least with version B and blocks after that, the wings have been strengthened.

I think this will explain tbe point better. No FBW in ROLL Axis for JF17.

Thank you for your very neon and psychedelic explanation, informing everyone of the difference between pitch, roll, and yaw. Per @messiach Thunder has had 3 axis FBW for a long time now, it's simply not officially acknowledged.

@ahmadnawaz22 Its been discussed elsewhere.
