No one know for certain - but PAF buys in batches and it is mostly likely first batch is 3 squadrons to form a viable platform in the PAF.

Any platform they purchase is between 90 and 110 etc..

Paf is in no rush. They have 75 F16s, 184 Jf17s (after block 3 arrivals) 36 J10s (on the way). Total 295 4th and 4.5th generation planes. Yes financial difficulty is here but hopefully things will improve when we're out of this political mess.

5th generation could be either TF-X, J-31, or JF-X. Time will tell.

Most likely J35/J31 will be Paf/China 5th generation and TFX (if engine issues are solve.
