US promote Indians in Afghanistan and behalf of American promotion and support in Trade/Strategy/ etc and agenda against Pakistan. Simply Indian buying American weapons instead of Russia.

India is buying both from usa but actively developing with israel, france and russia.

there are lots of missile projects and weapons R&D system being developed jointly with the above mentioned countries.

surely weapon purchase affect foreign policy and future course of action for all the countries but here it seems to be balanced.

contrary to pakistan who makes small amount purchase and that too once in a while Indian purchase is continuous and more rapid( with lots of money involved). so your views over the defence procurement, which is based on the pakistani perspective, is not valid.
Russia dont have that much things to offer now and the reason we all know that post soivet break down, all the russian design bureau suffered budget cuts and they are now 1-2 decades behind us technology. however what ever good russia has, India is procuring that much.
