Yes, India's current account balance & trade deficits are getting worse, as indicated by the data. Inflation is increasing, the rupee is devaluing, & the rate of FDI inflow is decreasing.

inflation is decreasing (9 %), FDI has been improved significantly compared to previous year. Rupee devaluation is not a significant because we have enough forex (2.48 bn usd added this week).

Pakistan has inflation of over 13 % for past 4 years and surviving on the aids form US

China, despite being a younger country than the US fares better than it on many indicators. There is no indicator in which India fares better than China.

Pakistan has been involved in a decade long WOT which India hasn't. Despite that, Pakistan fares better than India on many indicators. Pakistan has generated higher GDP growth rates, & had a higher GDP per capita than India for 40+ years out of the 64 years since both nations gained independence.

If the topic of the thread is why India compares with China , not with Pakistan.Then i guess the answer is the fact both not same population and economic history for India and Pakistan.

Current newspapers compare China and Pakistan with India.
