nobody here actually gives a damn about pakistan actually leave alone comparision. And no the two countries are nothing alike.the only time a cmmon indian hear's about pakistan is either in cricket or terror incidents(and now veena malik ) and thats it.On the other hand i can post numerous videos of pakistani media personalities contrsating the two countries in railways, power, corruption, film industry and what not. its gud to compare with someone or something betr than urself and thats the case here as well and with india and china.
Why do Indians want to compare their nation to China, & equate Pakistan to Afghanistan, when by all socioeconomic, political, health, development measures etc, India & Pakistan are very similar; & India is nothing like Pakistan. Saying Pakistan is like Afghanistan is like saying India is like Afghanistan.
So just a few examples:
1) GDP per capita:
Pakistan------India-------China
$1207-------$1400-------$4400
2) Current account balance:
Pakistan------------India----------------China
$-1.85 billion----$-51.78 billion----$+305.4 billion
3) Inflation:
Pakistan---------India----------China
11%------------9.39%----------4.2%
4) Unemployment:
Pakistan---------India----------China
5.95%-----------9.4%----------4.3%
5) Structure of economy (% of GDP by sector):
-----------Pakistan-----India-------China
agriculture: 21.2%------19%-------10.2%
--industry: 25.4%------26.3%----46.9%
--services: 53.4%----54.7%----43.0%
6) Life expectancy at birth (years):
Pakistan-------India--------China
65.4----------65.4----------73.5
7) Education Index (expected & mean years of schooling):
Pakistan-------India---------China
0.386---------0.45----------0.623
8) Income Inequality Index:
Pakistan--------India----------China
0.346----------0.392---------0.534
9) Multidimensional Poverty Index:
Pakistan--------India----------China
0.264----------0.283---------0.056
10) Gender Inequality Index:
Pakistan-------India---------China
0.573---------0.617--------0.209

lol now people need yardstick even to compare it to others(though we compare beacuse we want to beat them simple)
Its like if a kid is failing in the class he has no right to think tat he can beat the first rank holder one day and work towards acheiving tat omg wat an looser
China used USA as their yardstick china may be close to america but wat were they 20years ago(i am saying 20yrs ago not 60 yrs cause i have been hearing this china is developing real fast and beat west now anytime soon,But we all know the game was on for 60yrs)

China & India got independence at about the same time, how did China fare compared to the famed Indian democracy?
China, despite being a younger country than the US fares better than it on many indicators. There is no indicator in which India fares better than China.
Pakistan has been involved in a decade long WOT which India hasn't. Despite that, Pakistan fares better than India on many indicators. Pakistan has generated higher GDP growth rates, & had a higher GDP per capita than India for 40+ years out of the 64 years since both nations gained independence.
So the young indians ones who recent joined the forums are still trying to figure out what just happened-
Dont blame us- blame your media- ask them enough with Disney land stuff and show us the reality- -
weird day dreamers-
Many businessmen from pakistan are migrating to Bangladesh because of 20 hrs electricity in most of the cities. India on the otherhand is building 20+ nuclear reactor along with a lot of dams to counter electricity shortage. we even offered it to pakistan
