Why does India want to compare itself to China?

nobody here actually gives a damn about pakistan actually leave alone comparision.And no the two countries are nothing alike.the only time a cmmon indian hear's about pakistan is either in cricket or terror incidents(and now veena malik ) and thats it.On the other hand i can post numerous videos of pakistani media personalities contrsating the two countries in railways,power,corruption,film industry and what not. its gud to compare with someone or something betr than urself and thats the case here as well and with india and china.

I have already given the statistics from the International Energy Agency (IEA) on the energy development index. Despite the energy problems Pakistan faces right now, the energy development index for India & Pakistan is nearly the same, whereas China is far far ahead of India.

In terms of corruption as well, India fares similar to Pakistan & nothing like China.

Why do Indians want to compare their nation to China, & equate Pakistan to Afghanistan, when by all socioeconomic, political, health, development measures etc, India & Pakistan are very similar; & India is nothing like Pakistan. Saying Pakistan is like Afghanistan is like saying India is like Afghanistan.

China is like where we would like to be and we begin by comparing ourselves to China.

You are compared to Afghanistan because you orient yourselves towards the west of yourself in all means and aim to match their cultures if not already and not to forget you both are the only two countries which despite having smaller population,better land density and more than adequate resources and huge oil rich countries right next to you still manage to post worse social indicators and at par to India which is so huge in sheer demographic numbers and complexity.

Many businessmen from pakistan are migrating to Bangladesh because of 20 hrs electricity in most of the cities. India on the otherhand is building 20+ nuclear reactor along with a lot of dams to counter electricity shortage. we even offered it to pakistan

corruption wise pakistan has a score of 2.5, India has 3.3 and china has 3.6. A lot of difference.

i never heard people compare with people who are going downwards i am not arrogant(i am just stating the fact as Bilal said dont deny reality)

China & India got independence at about the same time, how did China fare compared to the famed Indian democracy?

China, despite being a younger country than the US fares better than it on many indicators. There is no indicator in which India fares better than China.

That makes little difference, you offer other nations cash as well (even though your debt ratios are worse than Pakistan), but ask the UK to fund for your toilets & clean the Ganga.
