I read Jim Corbett lot and according to him Tigers are the most dangerous cunning animals, Event hunt human just for fun sometimes.
A big male lion do nothing but eats only what lioness hunt and take a big share and went in shade for sleeping do nothing but only protect it's clan from intruding male lions.

So ask yourself whats tougher.

Hunting buffalo, zebra and humans.

Or fighting another predator your own size, often two together, with the same weaponry.

Yes many people pet wolf these days, even tigers, lions, bears, cheetahs, and leopard are been used as pet. But i feel it's very unsafe. They are very powerful predator and they can kill human even by mistake.
Even Huskey, saint bernard etc do the howl, these dogs don't bark much.

Obviously Tiger, hunt big animals alone ......the bearded cat on the other hand is very lazy. And he is so shameless, group of females do all the job in hunting. Moreover a lion roar sucks big time, it resembles bellow of a bull while tiger has kingly, majestic and terrifying roar (in Lion king animated movie of Disney, a tiger roar was used for lion)

They don't attack each other just show of power and few bites.
Tiger is a real muscle machine, Just raw power with intelligent and that is why hunter fascinated with it for hunting he is so intelligent that even experience hunters feels chill on their backbones.

There are THOUSANDS of videos of death fights or severe maulings between lions. Thoda padho, thoda khojo, thoda seekho.

When a ghuspetiya younger lion kills the king of the pride, he kills all the cubs as well. And then puks like mad to further his line.

Most alpha lionesses either stay back. Or leave the pride with their cubs before they are killed.

These are death fights. I watch a lot of animal planet. And Turbo. And UFC.

The primary strength of Tigers ; Lions and Leopards lies in their Arms And shoulders
Which they use to bring down the prey

Hence Reach and muscle strength in the forearms matters most for them
this is where Tigers win

The JAWS Are the secondary weapons to cut the jugular and the wind pipe

Many a time a buffalo though bleeding escapes
because the lions have not brought it down

Leopards are more cunning. But in a one on one fight a leopard, Jaguar, Cheetah or even Panther is no match for a Lion or Tiger.

Btw which tiger do you guys think is stronger? Bengal tiger or Siberian Tiger? Siberia ones are bigger while Bengal tigers are more agile and fierce.

This is a fight between a Siberian Amur and a Royal Bengal Tiger. Well it may differ in terms of age and size in this fight but I guess the Siberians are stronger and larger when compared to the Bengals

I have seen NGC shows ; where Elephant pride moves toward the water hole
where lions are squatting

The baby elephants rush in ; Their mothers ONLY blow their trumpet from a distance
and the whole Lion pride runs away
