Who is the King of Jungle? Tiger or Lion

I dnt know who is the real.king of the jungle, but anyone who has seen them live in the jungle will agree with me that...when a lion walks, the swag is killer !! He just doesn't give a **** about who is watching him or what's happening around... Ghat swag tiger can't match. 2 cents

This is a fight between a Siberian Amur and a Royal Bengal Tiger. Well it may differ in terms of age and size in this fight but I guess the Siberians are stronger and larger when compared to the Bengals

Amur Tiger is the biggest species of Tigers.
But Royal Bengal Tiger is more aggressive compared to Amur Tiger.

Agreed. They too are magnificent animals and no less than lions in power or skills . May be more. But am.just talking about the attitude.. you have to give it to the lion.

I don't think even a pack of Lions could kill a fully grown male African Elephant

This is a long standing debate.Right from early Greeks who used to pit them one against another to the modern environmentalists, This remains an open question.The answer to this question not only varies one person to another but also varies with geographies.We, in the Indian subcontinent and all land East to it, swear by the undisputed king of jungle-Tiger. Here Sher means Tiger.But in the western society and their culture, Lion represents the King of the jungle.(I don't know about middle east)

I believe Tiger is and should be the rightful king of the jungle.Due to following.

1. Tiger is the heaviest and strongest cat weighing up to 300KG(Highest being 387 kg). Lion at max can weigh 250kg but average between 180-190Kg.
2. Tiger jaw strength is 1000psi while Lion's is only 600psi.
3. Tiger hunts alone but Lion hunts in packs.
4. Tough Lion is taller than Tiger but Tiger is longer than Lion.Tiger can stand on its hind legs and fight like a boxer but Lion has weak hind legs and can not stand on them.

So guys what do you think? You are in camp Lion or Camp Tiger.

Lions are stay as a pack or Family so it's strong, when it comes to single Tiger is King no one can beet Tiger

Yeah but the Siberian in the video looks much younger than the Bengal. Respect to the sheer courage of the Bengal even after repeated hits and taking on a much larger opponent. The Amur is a beast though but I heard a fully grown Bengal in it's prime could know off the Amur with it's agility and aggressiveness as the Amur is relatively large and less agile.

Which they use to bring down the prey

Hence Reach and muscle strength in the forearms matters most for them
this is where Tigers win

The lion is a fore quarter fighter. The tiger is a hind quarter fighter.

The lion is more powerful in the neck and shoulders and chest.

The tiger is stronger on his hind quarters and rears up better. Plus the ripping effect of his rear independently articulated and retractable claws that can disembowel the lion's exposed belly in the clinch.

Tiger or Lion both are magnificent animal of the Jungle.
Both are furious fighters but it's hard to decide which cat will win in a one on one combat

I think they both are evenly matched, although adult male lions do have the advantage with their thick mane. As you can see from this video, the tiger is struggling to get a death grip on the lions throat and ends up getting killed.

The real difference between the two is that, the lion always attacks from the front, and coward tiger attacks from the back:

The Lion is of course more tenacious than Tiger.
