Which 9 crashed http://www.f-16.net/aircraft-database/F-16/mishaps-and-accidents/airforce/PAF

Number Of Fighter We have is thrice the Numbers And Working Ours

We add 16 MKI each year To our inventory that Almost Raising a New Squadron Every year
So 8 Crashes in 20 years Is No Hard Ball If you have Number Like USAF and PLAAF
And the last crash was in 2009 for F16 only 3 pilots loss their lives in all F16 crashes in last 34 years,so you count how many pilots you loss on tier 1 jets in india

o you count how many pilots you loss on tier 1 jets in india
We Lost 1 Pilot of Twin seater Aircraft in 7 previous crashes Of of MKI

Recent crash Was due to Bad weather Jungle terrain Hope Both Pilot make It Search op is on

"The IAF said the search operation was continuing despite overcast sky and spells of rains and thundershowers in parts of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh where the SU-30 MKI plane is suspected to have crashed. The aircraft went missing yesterday."

2 days no progress. I think the lost mki has been handed over to China by it's pilot (deserted)!

CAG report 2010 7 years old data o_Oo_O So you based you theory on that
lets forget this useless debates, pray for the pilots:(

No critical parts are made for JF17 in PAC either.
58% parts made by pakistan including wings, tail sections and nose, rest is china's responsibility:p:
Let forget this useless debate and pray for the pilots:(

J-20 is far less superior aircraft and will be rejected even if offered to IAF .
how do you know that J-20 is less superior jet are you aviation expert?o_O

Pakistan is must be the last one to talk about a missing jet, their jf-17 & pilot are missing since October
yes you are right, this is confusing and i think jet was crashed in Arabian sea and pilots was dead:undecided:

Two days passed without any sign of the Ill fated jet. What are the super duper satellites doing?

LOL, You think we buy weapons as per what China does ? We were brought Su-7, Mig-23,Mig-25,Mig-27 and even Mig-29 did we follow China ?? Nope, Mig-19 and Mig-21 were only jets you guys brought in 60's and till 90's they were no Russian fighter jet purchased . China and India brought Sukhoi's only to bail out Collapsed Soviet Union which was now Russia .

Sukhoi was kept out of MMRCA and even now they can't compete for supply of jets in India .

Fact is hardly anything is common in Chinese and Indian purchase of Russian weapons . S-300 India never purchased , S-400 is interim Purchase till XRSAM is developed and Indian BMD is deployed , China too has brought S-400 to make their copies . India buying Russian weapons because of China is laughable

Wow, previously you were comparing the past 15 years time frame, and now you move even earlier to a 30 year time frame. FYI, China started buying Soviet weapons only after the collapse of Soviet Union, the period between 1969 - 1989, China had a strained relationship with Russia. That's the reason why we only bought Mig-19/21 until until 1969. So if you like to compare, you should compare the 90s when we actually started repurchasing Russian weapons.

Almost all Indian purchases since the 90s was a reaction to Chinese purchase if you study it closely. I don't care about what you planned, it never materializes anyway. The question is India is always trying to copy Chinese footsteps. We had Olympics, you went for Commonwealth, We get bullet trains, you want bullet trains, you know what is more pathetic than a copy cat? It's someone copying the 'copycat'. OTOH, China is always trying to copy Western footsteps and trying to match their capability, my advise is why do you compare to China, try to set your benchmark higher, go against the best.

Btw, there were report India secretly bought S-300 missiles.

LOL We brought more Russian Fighters then you guys and still you say we buy after China picks up one weapons . Now You bring Olympics and Bullet trains into the debate ?? Next you will say we copied Nuclear Submarine idea from you guys ,Ballistic missiles from China , may be even ISRO was founded because of China .

If You want live in your LA LA Land then its your problem , Fact is only thing common in history of PLAAF and IAF were Mig-21 (Almost all countries had them and widely exported to every tom dick and harry by Soviets ) Su-30 ( Again exported to every tom ,Dick and Harry in Asia ) Only two aircraft were common in entire history and every one knows Su-30MKK and MKI are vastly different birds which are not even manufactured by same company to be called even in same league .

S-300 was only evaluated never purchased , Their is not a single piece of evidence to support this claim nor has Government of India ever confirmed that India posses S-300 , If that was the case it could have shown up some where in India you cannot hide such a huge mobile system .

We had total 84 F16and we loss 8 in 34 years of which one was lost due catching fire on taxiway because of some bird goes in to air inlet so actual air crashes limited to 7 in 34 years i don't think its a big loss even these fighters were fielded against afghan and Soviet air forces during the 80s and now continued used against anti terror operation air raids, so do you think you any aircraft had face long duration war operated jets with similar success rate...think and answer
Not a bird, it hit a wild boar when it ran across the runway when the F-16B was taking off.

Don't know sir....you tell me.
Might be chinese had shoot down near their border in indian air space, be cause now they have very high confidence they even forced american jets to land who was intruding in to chinese air space

In that case, China would have gone public with it already and produced the tapes from the incident to validate their claim. Keeping mum about it when they followed protocol would just serve to undermine their own legitimacy.
It would not be surprised if both sides are keeping quite about it. There could be other diplomatic reasons for that. Objective was to send the message across which has been sent.

India’s Sukhoi Still Untraced, China Says Don’t Disturb Border Region

Authorities in India have failed to locate the Sukhoi-30MKI jet of the Indian Air Force (IAF) which went missing since Tuesday morning. It is being said that weather conditions are hampering search and rescue operations.

New Delhi (Sputnik) — A C-130 aircraft with electro-optical payload, ALH and Chetak helicopters of the IAF have been tasked for this search and rescue operations. The IAF is also using SU-30 aircraft with recce capability for locating the missing aircraft.

“Apart from the aerial assets, four ground parties of IAF personnel, nine parties of Indian Army and two parties of state administration have been deployed on different axes to search the area. Till now no breakthrough has been made in locating the aircraft and its pilots,” an IAF official said on Wednesday evening.

The Sukhoi jet, with two pilots aged between 25 and 30 on board, went missing after taking off from the Tezpur air force station situated in the north-eastern part of the country. The aircraft was on a routine training sortie.

China has said that it has no relevant information to offer at the moment regarding the missing aircraft. "We have been following the situation in South Tibet (Arunachal Pradesh) very closely. First of all on the eastern section of the India-China border, China's position is consistent and clear. We hope India can stick to the arrangements reached between the two sides and avoid disrupting peace and stability at the border areas," Lu Kang, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman, said on Wednesday as quoted by PTI.

China is said to be discomfited at India’s decision to deploy its frontline Sukhoi-30 jets at Tezpur air base station, which is located 172 km from the India-China border.

The Sukhoi-30MKI is a twin-seater, twin-engine multirole fighter of Russian origin, which is capable of carrying a variety of medium-range guided air-to-air missiles with active or semi-active radar or infrared homing close range missiles.
