What's new

Pakistan will launch a two-seater version of JF-17 - Induction of JF-17B in 2017

look shit...this is called "Designer failure" at the initial stage. Clearly evident that the designers never thought about the future when the aircraft turns into dual. Design is an art and Americans did PHD in weapons design, looks and aerodynamic features.

It probably is the trainer. 2 seater with same engine would mean big trade off on weapons.

I thought plane was developed in Pakistan
The production line is in Pakistan but they are busy in accomodating PAF and foreign orders. China has better R&D and testing facilities which are spare as well. at the end it doesnt make any such difference as both parties are working together.

-Am I the only one who thinks it doesn't look bad at all ?

- Secondly, (if you think it looks bad/ ugly)do looks really matter if your investment is paying off ?

-Thirdly, it would be very interesting to know if the specifications of the aircraft(especially with respect to load carrying capabilities) differ compared to the JF-17A, because the rumors were that, in addition to training, it can also function as a dedicated strike platform?

-Lastly, it would be very interesting to see how many JF-17B's are inducted in the PAF, considering the initial reports stated that the aircraft is very easy to learn.
