Why not merge Assam with Bangladesh. Everyone knows that villages and town of Assam have full of Bangladeshi people. This makes Assam a natural Bangladeshi territory. At the time of British rule British allows Bangalis to migrate and settle in Assam that's why Assam have so many Bangalis living there. In near future Indian will lose Assam to Bangladeshi people.

Not really it was during the British period. Bengali settlement started after the failed invasion of Bakhtiar Khilji in 1205. He lost the battle but it paved the way for our people in Rangpur and Mymensingh to go, occupy a few patches of land for cultivation and settle in the western Assam although sovereignty lied with the King of Assam.

When Bangladesh was East Bengal many Bengali Muslims from Bangladesh settled in Assam due to Hindu-Muslim fight in Bengal. Although atrocities were targeted towards Hindus but Muslims also tried to escape from rape and murder . Assam became natural shelter for them.

After Pakistani army launched operation search light and Bangladesh declared Independence, there was no way to go back to remain as a single country with Pakistan. We have 86,000 villages. We had more villages then they could master the number of troops. Vast swath of the countryside was out of reach for Pakistani troops and Mukti Bahini reigned there. Securing weapons from black market was never too difficult. Even without Indian involvement, a less intense insurgency would have still raged on. Pakistan's economy was crippled and they were unable to withstand any prolonged insurgency in Bangladesh. Sooner or later, they would have forced to come with the negotiation with provisional Bangladesh govt. and would have to give independence on negotiated terms. Indian direct involvement only hasten the inevitable outcome.

What a delusion. Naval blockade is an act of war. There is noway India can impose naval blockade without directly engaging in warfare. And effect of naval blockade is not immediate. It take several months to feel it's effect for a war economy. Unless war prolonged for many months or years, naval blockade has no effectiveness. And modern warfare do not last that long. And do you think, if there was hostility and threat of war with India, our armed forces would have remained as such? Of course not. It would have been much much powerful enough to frustrate any attempt to blockade.

If Bangladesh India were hostile to each other than Pakistan and China would have been our best buddy. The problem with your thinking is that, you only change half of the equation, but keep remain the other half the same. If India was that a threat to us, then we would have repaired our relation with Myanmar long ago. Improving relation with Myanmar is not difficult for us. We have no territorial issue with them.
