What's new

KP has completed planning for adding 1471 Megawatts through Hydel Power Generation!

The thing is, Coal-fired power plants runs on fuel called "Coal" which you need to import it.
Hydro power projects runs on the fuel called "water"... which you do not need to import it and flows in naturally

Coal will be imported initially, after few years Thar coal will be used. Still doesn't beat water but at least coal will be indigenous unlike gas or oil power plants.

How about using some "indigenous" water instead?

Other sources will always be needed even if Pakistan tap 100% potential hydro power. And considiring it toke Pakistan 70 years to tap 10% of hydro power, imagine how many centuries it will take for 100%. By that time 100.000MW potential hydro will be a lot less comparably. :D

Let's see if they actually even start as PTI is completely failed party and on par with PPP in performance. For example, the Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar did not have electricity for 3 days, and there were rats in the infant centre but these PTI idiots were busy going on talk shows and complaining about Nawaz

Looks like you need a brain, electricity is controlled by WAPDA, which is under Federal Government.

. .
Purchased by CPPA, collected by PEPCO, dispatched by NTDC and distributed by DESCOs not WAPDA which is sort of a holding and planning company.

Even than, its not Provincial Government's fault?

DESCOs...the problem of KPK is that they don't like to pay bills....so KPK government doesn't want to own PESCO because they themselves don't want to assume the non-payment and theft....The provincial government wants to sell the electricity to national grid rather than local management because of the same problem.

The federal government of Pakistan does not like to pay its electricity bills either, nor do its various ministries, departments, etc. :p

So, its all a **Circular war fare**

Looks like you need a life, even if electricity is controlled by WAPDA, it's still provincial government responsibility for power lines that are low voltage and can feed into hospitals, homes, etc

Agreed, Sorry.

On one hand you blatantly talk about people in KP don't pay bills. What about KPK's pending electricity dues as per NFC award which are in billions and are due since over 20 years?

Also bills recovery is not under KPK govt, its responsibility of PESCO whose head is appointed by whom? :azn:
