as for javelin- i think 4000 were ordered......you also seem to have left out lahat

as for javelin- i think 4000 were ordered......

Indian Army order Spike anti-tank missiles as Rafael was the only bidder in the tender and amaricans decided not to participate in the tender...the technology transfer was the main obstacle.
javelin is not coming !!

You forgot the indigenous and most deadly of them. The NAG.It is already cleared for small batch production with awaiting a huge follow on order with some modification. It will be the first fire and forget atgm of indian army when inducted.

I think now is the time for DRDO to make a shoulder launched variat of NAG.It will be much cheaper than any imported system hence can be inducted in much larger numbers.
What do you say guys????

the development will take some time - in the meantime we need to buy more and more atgm's(hopefuly around 15k javelin) as we have only about 44k total as compared to sanctioned number of 82k

First read throughly what I said.I was not talking to make the 42 kg land variat itself shoulder launch capable. What I told that DRDO should develop a much lighter(say 10 kg)variant for shoulder launching.I am not a mad bro.
