What's new

In solidarity with the Hindu/Indian posters here on Defence.PK

He has a task cut out for himself, this thread and future posts are just re-calibration of damage he want to inflict. This is my take sir, but I wont stretch it any far then I already have.

His criticism and disgust for many thing Indian may well be like mine and yours, but his affection for rest of India is not. That's my struggle with him being a voice of change here on this forum. Sorry for being judgmental here.

You have a point.

My point is that I didn't report him at the time. There was some (muted) discussion among ourselves when his conversation went rapidly downhill but the turning point came when @MilSpec asked me very sarcastically if I was not getting obsessed with false flags.

That observation made me think a lot. Here I was, sitting and brooding in suspicion without a shred of evidence proving that the man was something other than he claimed to be. That didn't feel right, so I decided - for better or for worse - to take him one post at a time, to take each post on merit.

Coming to that, don't you feel that the post he started with is something that every Indian member would have liked to have said? Isn't it something you would have liked to have said?

The difference between you and I is that you are an administrator yourself, I am not. Your senses are far more tuned to these things than mine are. I say, give the man the benefit of his posts - all of them.

Have some respect when adressing Joe or ill make you, little boy.

Leave him; he's a little troll enjoying his day in the sun. But thanks for the thought.

Whilst this forum used to have a lot of Indian trolls, I think it's now become an echo chamber for Pakistani trolls.

The mods need to crack down on the other side too.

I am sure that will happen, progressively. Don't know if it's me, but I feel there is a difference in the way we interact - already. The threads are far more serious and content-oriented. Maybe it's wishful thinking; my thruppence.

Ohh boy, the sermons are out. The same guy who few days back was ready to sell Indian ugly rubbish kali kalooti women to chinese and put them on brothels in lieu of few flush toilets?

Only if nationality is defined by the place of birth. Not sure why a whole dedicated thread is allowed for posters like him as if such views must be protected and cultivated on the forum just because he is anti Modi. @Joe Shearer @AgNoStiC MuSliM @ChennaiDude

Okay, so now I finally understood the reason behind this hate campaign towards me, especially from the Indian posters. What a load of misunderstanding. This is just the right thread to clear the air.

I will go out on a limb and say that this was definitely a tasteless comment. I have been warned by moderators to not use sexist language here, and I will not discuss women any more. In fact, I don't see any use for women in the discussions that I mostly intend to bring here. We all love women, don't we?

There is no need to take this comment I made at its face value. It was intended as a joke, maybe a lame joke, but I had mistakenly thought the audience on this forum would laugh at that joke. I have been using far worse vocabulary for women in my real life, that too in their presence (usually, with their consent, OK?). In short, I don't see it as a big deal. I don't understand why do you guys from Indian have reacted so strongly to this. It was implied to be funny, it might have been lame, and I get it that no one likes it here. So I will refrain. End of story.

But there is no need to get offended really. It was not directed at any individual users, and the women in their lives. I don't see the big deal why you are getting so worked up on what was a joke comment. It was clearly a bad comment, but I am not going to apologize for this one. If you're going to use this to discredit my posts, well, do it. I clearly don't see why I am wrong here. A joke is a joke. This one does not belong here in this forum. All right!

I hope this clarification I gave satisfies everyone here, including the mod's here. Let's move on.

@waz @AgNoStiC MuSliM @Joe Shearer @IMARV

AM, off course he has tried to explain but not what he is but how he want to be known as. Hypocrisy and hatred is quite evident and based on his submissions made on this very forum, if a good section of Indians doubt his nationality and reject his opinions as of an Indian, they are not very far off.

I really don't know, what you're talking about man. What hypocrisy and hatred? You consider yourself a saint. Well, I am not going to dispute that. I received so much hatred from 90% of my fellow countrymen. So all I did was retaliate. Had you all been nice to me, I would have been nice in return. So, let's bury the hatchet and be nice to each other.

But yes, my views will remain unchanged, as the OP sugggests. But we can all get rid of the hatred towards each other.

You can't deny that the OP was a worthwhile one, and one that we can all Indians subscribe to.

I have suspended judgement on his being Indian; not enough evidence, and it is not fair to hang a dog after giving him a bad name. Why don't you look at it the same way, and let him live or die by his last post?

I don't understand you. Why would you have such a hard time believing I am Indian after all the pleasant interactions we had earlier. You're kind of too neutral.

You have too much imagination, and are working yourself unnecessarily. My agenda is not to damage anyone but to promote a particular ideology only (as stated in OP), which the moderators are allowing me here.

Yes, you're being way too judgmental. Who decides whether or not I have affection for India? Sorry that's just being superficial of you.

Hmmm- I always had my doubts- Thanks for the Tag.

Et tu, Chnnai Dude. I thought you were on my side.

Man, this is too much. Looks like almost every Indian poster hates me except xeuss

I am not a false flagger. You can ask any Pakistani poster on this forum. They will confirm to you that I know jack about their country, culture, customs, languages. I am not one of their own by any stretch.

Hope this settles everything, peaceout.

. .
You just need to hate Muslims and say Kashmir is India's and they will start loving you all over again.
No man, I can't throw you under the bus. I'd rather be lynched together with you. That's my level of commitment for my political beliefs.

All fascists deserve to be opposed in every sense of the word. World War II was won by the Allies, the fascists lost then. They will again lose here in India, and elsewhere.

EDIT: I have a tendency for hyperbole. I don't really like to see either one of us get lynched. It was an expression, just to be clear.

Post by post, remember?

This was a reasonable post.
  1. Joke or not, that was shady coming in the context of other doubts. So, let's assume that we have here a gent with a broken sense of humour; it isn't a capital offence.
  2. I think @IMARV you can cut him some slack.
  3. As for me, I'm just too confused, but determined to allow every member to post his posts and say his say. One post at a time. For the business of why I have a tough time believing you are an Indian, let's put it this way; everyone on the forum knows who I am, how old I am, what language is my first language, where I was educated, what size my family is, and where they are, and what they do, and what I did for a living, and where I live. They can hate my politics, but they can't say anything about my identity.
  4. @ChennaiDude is getting shaken by the number of people standing up and saying they don't know about you. Just post your posts and let people judge for themselves.
Don't worry too much about this criticism. It will take place until people know more about you. There have been earlier fifth columnists whose style resembled yours, so you are already getting those hard looks. Only time will settle things down - that, and additional information.

For me, you are what you are according to your last post; your last post was reasonable and good, so it's now your next post.

Hey man- please dont read between the lines- I am all about dashes and dots- Never said you were rude - To re emphasize- I truly believe you are of Indian origin-No doubts from my end.

You just need to hate Muslims and say Kashmir is India's and they will start loving you all over again.

Don't go over the top. Neither of you is anywhere close to being lynched, even metaphorically. For @xeuss, in particular, the message is that for some of us, neither hating Muslims nor proclaiming Kashmir is India's counts in gauging a member. Lighten up.

Great. One less hater then. When was I rude? I only said a few things in retaliation. I was nice to everyone. But good we're clear now.

Nobody 'hates' you; suspicion and hatred are not the same. The more you post sane and rational, the more everyone will relax and focus on the content of the post.

Does anyone here remember the original PDF?

It was run by a different group of Pakistanis. I joined that forum first (didn’t know about this one then) and lasted for maybe a week or two, hounded out by the Pakistanis there who took offense at my name but also interpreted my ‘balanced’ (at least to me at the time) posts as meaning I was an ‘Indian in disguise’.

Even now I’ll get the occasional taunt of secretly being an Ahmadi because of some of the socio-religious positions I take.

I’ve been at the receiving end of accusations such as these at the hands of the ultra-jingoistic & conservative crowd, found my bearings on this forum and saw that ultra-jingoism and paranoia destroy the ‘original PDF’.

Hounding out those with a different view point is sounding the death knell of any discussion platform. What keeps things interesting is the fact that we don’t agree and can have lively debates.

The flip side & challenge is keeping everyone civil during these lively debates.

Don't worry too much about Indian troll detective agency.

You carry on with your posts, I think you are becoming quite popular on this forum with all members of diverse backgrounds.

We value your inputs, it is a breath of fresh air. I wish all Indians think as you do. Peace would be very easy, if we could sit down and discuss our issues with respect and decency.

It's simple...if the dude keeps engaging like that (or reverts back to such disgusting thoughts and language, that too in concert with persistent fellow abusers and bad-faith mobsters..smattered with whatever 100 post "2019/2020" burner accounts...all in some hazy ill thought-out notion of "common cause" alignment), then its pretty clear what he is up to and for what reason...and people can make their own inferences from it on what he is based on their own experiences here.

If he can sort that out over time and get better and reach a 1000 post mark or similar in good/better standing by that time...I and others would be willing to give another chance when we peek past ignore button later.

You see when the Roman legions got shaped up lot more professionally and actually accounted something for themselves of permanence and note (esp under able stewards like Julius), people often forget just what they engaged in the formation period too....and at what level (since things of that nature did inevitably linger too well into their "prime" period).

People can change like that too. But its up to them. I am also very regretful of some earlier posts I have made here on this forum starting out (and later past it too with vendettas and all that)....but it was different time period then compared to now too (for those gathered and for myself).

If you are actually someone of worth and have something to say of worth, it will be obvious to other worthies with enough downstream time and interaction. The best of those will forgive and even forget....because they were similarly given this honour too by the earlier older ones (in life in general, not just here)....it is not lost on them. And so on it goes, and must go.

As some of you would know me by now. I'm as anti-Hindutva as it gets. I am strongly opposed to Narendra Modi, BJP, RSS, and all their collective organizations. Not only at an ideological level, but also in many practical matters like who I prefer socializing with in real life. Although many of my friends and contacts in India are what would clearly fall under the category of "Sanghi," it is something I didn't choose about them. You can't really choose all your friends in the real world according to their ideology. Anyone who does that (my salutes to them), but I can't be as mahaan as such individuals.

I am as leftist liberal person as possible in the mould of say, Mani Shankar Aiyar, Navjot Singh Sidhu, or Arundhati Roy, etc. But, that does not mean I endorse everything they say or do, and they would endorse everything of mine. I have also been affiliated with Congress party of India for a very long time, but only to a certain faction within the party which is directly connected to Sonia Gandhi ji and Rahul Gandhi himself. Again, they will not endorse any of my statements or positions (why should they, anyone who thinks that they should, is going nuts!) My views are absolutely my own and not really representative of the party.

So, what are my actual positions, and far left do I lean? This is easy to answer. I am opposed to all the coercive measures being taken against Muslims in India, including CAB/NRC etc. I had contributed my own money for Shaheen Bagh protests (although I am not in India) as I think it was a very just cause. I also opposed the scrapping of Article 370 by Modi government in Kashmir. It was a violation of the rights of Kashmiris, which is protected as per UN Charter of 1948. This unilateral move by Modi has destabilized the entire region greatly.

I support the right of plebiscite for the Kashmiris, only because I have studied this problem very deeply (also, during my MA degree in international relations long ago). I think their demands are valid, and should be protected as per Indian Constitution as well as international law agreements. For the Indian posters here, I absolutely do not support Pakistan-based militants in Kashmir Valley. But I am also a realist who like to see other persons' point of view. I believe there is a war going on in Kashmir, and in wars, it is stupid to think that only your country and government is telling the truth, and the other side isn't. Someone here from Pakistan mentioned to me about the good deeds of Hafiz Saeed in that country, and I was willing to give it open thoughts. That doesn't mean I endorse Hafiz Saeed.

The point I am trying to make is very simple: just one single person (Hindu or Muslim) can be incredibly complex if they have a past academic history, or experiences living and working in many countries. I have been fortunate enough to travel/work/and live in more than 60 countries in my life including US/UK/many European countries/CIS countries/Africa/ME/SE Asia (that's a real number, and I don't recall the exact number of countries I have been to, without having to look up.) I believe travel broadens your mind a lot. That could be why some of my views sound as how you all guys like to put it, "different." But let me assure you, I am 100% Indian, and a Hindu at that (although I don't follow the religion, and completely non-practicing). I don't even believe in God although I have studied all major religions including Islam and Christianity.

Sorry about this long essay (I would myself hate to read my own speech so much). But I am getting sick and tired of all the "troll" accusations coming at me. It's derailing every single thread where I liek to participate. Today itself I got trolled by one jackass who seems to be a Pakistani based in USA. It was very mean-spirited of him to waste another person's time in such a crude manner. Although I have ignored him now, it has left a bad taste in my mouth related to this forum. I came to participate in discussions, and maybe I will do in future. But I am not going to suffer a single troll like that one again.

--

Despite such a long rant about me, the intention of this essay is concerning others. It is more a form of communication to all the moderators and active users from both the countries. You need to realize one very important thing: not all Hindu posters from India think alike. Your website is becoming an echo chamber where only a certain partisan view of Indian Hindus is being reported. That, all Hindus are Sanghis, and hate Muslims, and want to genocide them. That is simply not correct. Hindus aren't this giant monolith in India who all think exactly alike. Some of us hate Narendra Modi more than Kashmiris do.

If you all want to create an echo chamber where all Hindu Indians supposedly support Narendra Modi, be my guest. I will want nothing to do with that. Another Indian Muslim user just asked me whether I am connected with Rishi, a troll of BJP IT cell, here is my answer. "Yes, I know him personally. I have met him once or twice." But that don't mean squat.

Having said this, I have met some really cool posters here, from both countries, who can understand the fact that Indian Hindu posters can have diverse opinions. And they respectfully state their positions, and we have some nice discussions.

So, basically another part of my complaint is against some of the Pakistani posters here who generalize all Indian Hindus as Sanghis, or radical Hindutvadis. Well, no one is stopping you from thinking that as it is really convenient, and we all love convenience in our lives, don't we? Rather than be confronted by something which shocks our world view (many Indians have worse notions about Pakistanis, so I am willing to give you a pass).

But, then it really reflects ignorance on your part, especially if you are unwilling to change your views. You know what happens with stuck cement? If you have not met amazing persons from India like me (I'm not the only one I am absolutely sure, there are many), it's your loss. No one from India,, Hindu or otherwise, owes you any explanation. Just like none of you owe any explanations to Hindutvadi trolls of India. It is up to each individual whether or not they want to learn new views of the other side with an open mind. No one will/can force you to do it.

I will just keep this post handy just in case someone in future blabbers about my "false flag" status, whether I am "trolling", or whatever. I don't owe anyone any explanation.Nor does any Hindu Indian poster here. Everyone can have their own independent views. Not only in this forum but in real life as well. Get used to it if not already.

The only question is: are you willing to accept and embrace the diversity of opinions in your personal life? I hope you do.

@waz @xeuss @Pan-Islamic-Pakistan

Hey mate, thank you for taking time to basically introduce yourself on this forum. I welcome you. When i first joined this forum we had alot of amazing Indian posters. two on the top of the list were @Joe Shearer and @MilSpec though i havn't seen them much for a while now. I learned alot from them. Unfortunately as the popularity of the forum increased so did the number of close-minded people on the forum who only came here to spread hatred and not really after any kind of sincere discussions and this was from both sides of the border.

Anyway i suggest that you continue to participate in discussions and if anyone trolls you just put them on the ignore list ( except me obviously ). They are not worth any time to waste on.
