India's carriers will be useless in a war simply because of the very limited power they bring, even China's 001/002 carriers are more for gaining practice and knowledge.

China's real carrier will be the 003 and potentially nuclear 004.These will be same size as Ford class carriers and have EMAL. Aircraft wing will be around 60-70 with supporting tankers and AEW. This is when a carrier is a threat. Not when it can thrown around 8 30 year old MIG-29s into the air with very limited payload....

I suggest you read up on the systems built into the carrier to protect from.submarines and,missles

by the way French and British and Japanese and Spanish and others have carriers ... All.of these navies have escort ships protecting them.

soon the next generation vizag class destroyers and nirbhay class stealth frigates
we have inducted 6 high end scorpene and are adding super scorpene x 6 more

our navy is massive by most standards,

the combined sam.umbrella around vikrant in a,war zone with just 4 ships plus it's,own sams is over 160 plus Barak 8 missles.

anti sub corvettes like Kormta and frigates like Talwar class
finally India subs like kilo scorpene and Arihabt

you have no where to hide as you have small.coastline or you run to Arabian sea out of range

Thank you for the detailed information. Pakistan will all also contribute it indigenous material for this ship including our indigenously developed submarine, air, surface and land launched anti ship missiles. I am sorry not every thing that we can use is indigenous. The torpedoes will either be German or Chinese origin.
