Help Me Learn Some Urdu...

Some other posh Urdu here, I don't know how much of it Indians would be able to understand, Pakistanis with only decent knowledge of Urdu should be able to understand all of it:

Gaya, jo ki mehmaan nawaazi ka asool. Hai ki dastarkhwaan par mezbaan.

Kya khoob tassawur hai .. Har alfaz me eak pyara sa ahesas .. maazi aur mustaqbil mel jhol bahoth bariya andaz se kiya gaya hai .. hazaro daad apki is tehreer ke naam qubool karen .. Allah apke tamam khwabon ko tabir se nawaze !!

Even though it is a custom of Hospitality. Every dinner table ( No concept of dastarkhaan, in the West) has a host.

What a great Imagination. Every word carries a beautiful sentiment. Past and present have been presented in such lovely way. Please accept a thousand applauses for your writing. May allah fulfill all your dreams.

Yes, there were a couple of typos there that have been corrected. Trust me, I don't pronounce khoob as qoob in real life

here is a passage from Iqbal's poetry for Urdu connoisseurs. Enjoy:

Ghulami mein na kaam aati hein Shamsheerein na tadbeerein

Jo hoo shauq e yaqeen paida tou cut jati hein zanjeerein

Koi undazaa kar sakta hai uus kay zoor e bazoo ka

Nagah e mard e momin say badal jati hain taqdeerein

Hum aghwan-e-shab ka bahrum kholtey rahey,
Mezan-e-Dilbarey pey mana tooltey rahey,
Hum shehrey kharabat, raat bur mudhaey,
Tasbeh-e-dana ko ungleoun pey roultey rahey.
