The T129 was in Pakistan for two weeks in late May and flew in some of the country’s hottest and highest places as part of ongoing negotiations.

During testing, the T129 ATAK flew to the highest and hottest areas in the Himalayas’s Pano Aquil, Chor region, where the temperatures were around 52˚c. It then flew to Quetta army air base, in the Balochistan desert, where the Pakistani army pilot conducted typical mission profiles.

A TAI source told Shephard: 'Several missions saw the helicopter loaded to 5,000 kg, its maximum take-off weight and flying at 14,000 ft in temperatures of around 23˚c. It flew both day and at night.

During ten days of flights, the T129 conducted over seven flights in three different locations, Multan, Pano Aquil and Quetta, totaling over 15 flight hours. The operations were carried out with two pilots, four technicians and one quality inspector.

First Test area: Multan Command base
Temperature: 47 degree
T-129 Atak flew day and night. According to report, No other helicopters can even escort Atak in such hot and high conditions Atak is tested.

Second test area: Pano Aqil
Temperature: 50 degree
The temperature even effected the mobile phones so hardly took some photos.
All trials are done successfully.

Third Test Area: Himalayas - Quetta city
14000ft altitude, 23 degree

Fourth Test mission: From Quetta city to Multan
Range: 480km
A record: T-129 Flew 2h 40m without air fueling in such high and hot conditions. After flight, Atak was able to fly 33 minutes more.

Testing 129 only for two weeks doesn't make sense. Either we had tested it in Turkey also or withinh two weeks we thought it's not good for us
@Sulman Badshah @Tipu7
does make sense, army has power ,

it will simply buy all three the zulus, the t129 and the z 10 as well as the mig 35

while air force and navy are becoming sitting ducks to indian power

all these choppers will be downed within seconds due to lack of airpower

It is what the source or TAI magazine wrote under the subject of T-129 adventure in Pakistan. Most probably, Their mobile phones shut itself during video recording because You know recording high quality videos itself enable new generation phones to overheat situation. No need to mention a phone under 50 Celcius degrees trying to record. Otherwise, No author can mention a gossip in a magazine of such a big company.

I don't know about Quetta. What I did is to translate important parts of article.

Quetta (Urdu: کوئٹہ‎, Pashto: کوټه‎, Balochi: کویته pronunciation (help·info)) is the provincial capital of Balochistan, Pakistan and the ninth-largest city of Pakistan.

An army aviation official denied to provide all these details by labeling them "classified" whereas whole international media is giving us details. I think the problem is with Pakistani journalists because our ISPR is not comfortable with them. Moreover, we can see many civilian relatives of military officers who get jobs easily in ISPR. This nepotism is haunting the information warfare front which should be taken care of.

Btw,whats with that signature?
What alone bs?:angry::angry::angry:
Ah, well the signature is there to give a subliminal msg to those global mullahs who think that coz they happen to be Muslims so by default they own us our version of Sufi Sharea and ahm our nukes ahm ahm------nothing more nothing less :D

There is no questions that Pakistan would love to have the T129 any day over other attack Helis but the problem is the price it's a expensive unit and turkey is not big China who can heavily discount or give "soft loan" to Pakistan for this helo

Unless Pakistan comes up with hard cash it's going to be a difficult proposition

T129 is a top tier helicopter

T129 is not a cheap bird but it's much cheaper than its NATO competitors and Turkey is always up for offering offsets as is currently the case with Polish attack helicopter tender. High offsets would allow Pakistan to reinvest money into its aerospace industry.
