TÜRKİYE'NİN 'YERLİ' HAYALİ GERÇEKLEŞİYOR!

KKK Türk Ana Muhabere Tankı ihtiyacının, yurt içinde geliştirme modeli ile karşılanması amacıyla başlatılan projenin ilk ayağında sona gelindi.

Altay Milli Tank Projesi’nde ilk protip üretildi. Türkiye Cumhuriyeti tarihinin en büyük askerî projelerinden biri olan Altay’ın tanıtımı önümüzdeki perşembe günü Başbakan Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’ın katıldığı bir törenle yapılacak.

Kara Kuvvetleri Komutanlığı Türk Ana Muhabere Tankı ihtiyacının, yurt içinde geliştirme modeli ile karşılanması amacıyla başlatılan projenin ilk ayağında sona gelindi. İsmini Kurtuluş Savaşı’nda 5. Süvari Kolordusu'nu komuta eden Fahrettin Altay’dan alan Altay tankının Sakarya Otokar fabrikasında ilk prototip üretimi gerçekleştirildi. 2016 yılı sonunda Altay, seri üretime hazır hale gelecek. Altay Projesi’ne Güney Koreli Rotem firması teknik destek sağlarken, tankın tasarım, geliştirme, prototip imalatı, test ve sertifikasyon aşamalarının tamamlanması için Otokar ve Rotem birlikte çalışıyor. Ayrıca projede 40’dan fazla yerli alt yüklenici bulunuyor.

Türkiye’nin en büyük hayallerinden biri olan Milli Tank Projesi uzun yıllardan bu yana gündemdeydi. Nihayet 2007 yılında harekete geçildi. Milli İmkanlarla Modern Tank Üretimi (MİMTÜ) Projesi çerçevesinde 30 Mart 2007'de yapılan Savunma Sanayi İcra Komitesi toplantısı sonucunda Savunma Sanayii Müsteşarlığı tarafından proje ana yüklenicisi olarak Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi A.Ş. belirlendi. Milli Tank Projesi iki dönem halinde planlandı. İlk dönem tasarım ve prototip üretimi ikinci dönem ise seri üretim olarak belirlendi. Birinci dönem çalışmalarına 15 Ocak 2009 tarihinde başlandı. Yaklaşık 80 ay gibi bir zamanda kavramsal tasarım, detaylı tasarım ve prototip üretimi gerçekleştirildi. Altay’ın tankının tasarım, geliştirme, prototip imalatı, test ve kalifikasyon aşamalarının tamamlanması için 500 milyon dolar kaynak ayrıldı. Üretilen prototipin testleri Otakar içinde bulunan Türkiye’nin ilk yerli tank test merkezinde sürüyor.

40’dan fazla yerli alt yüklenicinin görev aldığı projede modele uygun olarak belirlenen alanlar dışında, tamamen yerli alt sistemlerin kullanılması hedeflendi. Bu kapsamda, tankın yeni nesil atış kontrol sistemi ve komuta kontrol muhabere bilgi sistemi Aselsan tarafından tasarlanıyor. 120 mm’lik 55 kalibre ana silah sistemi, Güney Koreli Hyundai Rotem kanalı ile teknoloji transferi yapılarak MKE tarafından, modüler zırh paketi ise Roketsan tarafından üretilecek.

15 Kasım 2012 Perşembe günü yapılacak Altay Milli Tank'ın prototip tanıtımına Başbakan Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’da katılacak. Yeni jenerasyon (3+) ana muhabere tankı olan Altay, ilk etapta Türk Silahlı Kuvvetleri (TSK) için 250 adet üretilecek. TSK’nın ihtiyacı doğrultusunda bu rakam artırılabilecek.
