How have the mortars on the merkava worked out for you guys?

I was on modernized M60 but it also got (externally) mounted mortar. I think its not bad to have it, it not take much place at all. but allows indirect fire option plus additional fire power + illumination and smoke.

Firing it during trainings is fun too.

We don't have that information about Altay.
Abrams turret also seperates ammo storage with blast doors it's a very important feature.
We don't have that information about Altay either.

If this two adds up Altay will be the best MBT in the world.
