Al Qaeda in Iran, Why Tehran is Accommodating the Terrorist Group?

I highly doubt that Iran supports Suuni jihadist. Al Qaeda had caused a wreck havoc on in Iraq majority Shiite cities in the past few months by car bombings and fighting the overwhelm Shiite majority regular Iraqi forces on desert when Maliki is a Shiite loyal to Shiite majority Iran. Secondly, Assad is also a Shiite who is an ally of Iraq and Iran. The three major Shiite leaders won't please the actions Al Qaeda had committed when they bomb Iraqi Shiite cities hence the Shiites are giving a genocidal cleansing on Suuni cities for revenge. This is questionable to everyone who writes this rubbish, Iranians needs to explain more briefly.

I assume this is about the recent clash between ISIL and FSA where members accuse them of Assad collaborators. The reason why the Syrian army target ISIL bases, HQ or where they control less often is because they mostly control rural regions and checkpoints where Assad sees this useless compared to urban cities (control by FSA and IF) where he prefer targeting predominately majority population which is on the urban cities.

I also like to add that ISIL are on the East and towns near Turkey, Assad ignores it sometimes because he cannot afford to lose the coastal because of the lifeline international support so he prefer launching offensive and defensive on the West and South such as Aleppo, Homs and Damascus to avoid rebels from reaching the Mediterranean or parts of Iraqi borders that is need for the oil pipelines.

Ironically, considering Iraq exports their militias to Syria to defend Assad is the result of ISIL making recent gains in Iraq earlier. This had cause uproars among moderate sides, strange.

Canada declares Iran a state sponsor of terror

VLADIVOSTOK, Russia — Canada has placed Iran on its list of state sponsors of terrorism and has shut down its embassy in Tehran, Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird said.

Baird, speaking to reporters ahead of the opening of the annual summit of Pacific nation leaders here, said the skeleton Canadian Embassy staff in Tehran has been withdrawn for their own safety.

Canada is also expelling all Iranian diplomats in Canada.

"Canada views the government of Iran as the most significant threat to global peace and security in the world today," Baird said. "The government of Canada is formally listing Iran as a state sponsor of terrorism."

Baird said the federal government is also officially warning Canadians not to travel to Iran.

"We feel that it's no longer safe to have representatives of the government of Canada in Tehran," Baird said.

There has been increased speculation in the Israeli press that Israel is preparing to attack Iran to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear bomb. But, in a statement e-mailed to reporters, Baird seemed to rule out the idea that Canada has some inside intelligence about any pending military action against Iran.

"Unequivocally, we have no information about a military strike on Iran," Baird said in a statement e-mailed to reporters after a brief scrum here.

"This action is a made-in-Ottawa action and we're acting alone in this regard," Baird told reporters.

Moreover, under the Conservatives' recently adopted Justice for the Victims of Terrorism Act, the list of countries Canada has named as "state sponsors of terrorism" must be published by Sept. 13.

Pressed several times by reporters about why Canada was taking this action now, Baird rattled off a long list of grievances Canada has with Iran:

— Iran refuses to comply with the United Nations resolutions pertaining to its nuclear program

— Increasing military assistance to the regime of Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad

— Iran shelters and "materially supports" terrorist groups

— Routine threats to the existence of the state of Israel

— Repeated violations of the Vienna Convention which governs diplomatic relations between most countries of the world

— "Racist anti-Semitic rhetoric and incitement to genocide," Baird said.

— Worst violators of human rights.

"Under the circumstances, Canada can no longer maintain a diplomatic presence in Tehran," Baird said. "There's a just a long list of reasons why we're coming to this decision."

Baird said all Canadian diplomats have already left Iran.

Sanctions need real teeth to make mullahs pay attention

Despite global sanctions, Iran continues to export terrorism worldwide while importing nuclear weapons technology in a quest to impose Islam on the world. The United States and its Western allies must step up the pressure against Tehran.

Part of the export of terrorism turned up Tuesday when U.S. Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. announced federal authorities had foiled an Iranian plot to kill the Saudi ambassador to the United States and bomb the Saudi and Israeli embassies in Washington.

U.S. authorities concerned about Iran’s terrorist activities have taken new action to limit the illicit activities of the Islamic regime in Tehran, but it’s not enough.

In conjunction with U.S. sanctions, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) suspended the sale of Iran Air tickets through its Billing and Settlement Plan system, which serves as the central point through which data and funds flow between travel agents and airlines worldwide.

According to one official at IATA, the suspension went into effect last week and was a direct response to U.S. sanctions against illegal activities conducted by the Iranian government through Iran Air. Within the framework of these sanctions, travel agencies must refuse the sale of Iran Air passenger tickets.

While sanctions are exerting some pressure on the Islamic regime in Iran, they have failed to stop it from illicit activities of money laundering, transferring of arms and explosives in support of its terror network worldwide and, most important, its pursuit of a nuclear bomb program.

The United States, in collaboration with our allies in the European Union, must exert much more pressure against Iran. These actions could include the closure of all offices of Iran Air, Iranian shipping lines and bank offices in Europe.

In addition, an oil embargo would drastically affect the Iranian economy, forcing its leaders to change their behavior or face the wrath of their own people, who for decades have paid dearly to gain freedom from their radical rulers. We have to realize once and for all that a regime change in Tehran would go a long way in securing peace and stability not only in the region, but in the world.

Iran repeatedly has violated international laws, one of which strictly prohibits the use of passenger flights for security or military purposes. According to the opposition group Green Experts of Iran, the Iranian government on at least three recent occasions has smuggled large sums of money out of the country using Iran Air passenger flights.

Iranian government’s money-laundering scheme via Iran Air is connected to Iranian-Pakistani joint nuclear activity. For this purpose, hundreds of millions of dollars in cash has been paid to the Pakistani government to purchase necessary components as well as the expertise of Pakistani nuclear scientists.

As I have reported on several occasions, known because of my experience as a CIA agent inside the Revolutionary Guards of Iran, Iranian intelligence agents occupy every office and entity in connection with the Islamic government in Iran. These include consulates and embassies, Iran Air and Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines offices, Iranian banks abroad, Islamic and cultural centers, mosques and every extension of theIranian government in businesses throughout the world.

Not only money is smuggled to support Iranian intelligence activities. As I have reported to the CIA, arms and explosives are smuggled using Iran Air flights. In one such case, the explosives smuggled by Iran Air were transferred from the airport via an Iranian consulate convoy, which has diplomatic immunity. These actions have resulted in many assassinations and acts of terrorism worldwide.

Iran Air flights are also used to transport terrorists. These flights, though commercial, often show as being fully booked many months in advance so that no regular passengers can fly. These mystery flights are used routinely to transfer funds and arms to Syria and carry known terrorists back to Iran.

Iranian Quds Forces and Hezbollah use the same Iran Air mystery flights to transfer members to Venezuela to strengthen their terror network in Latin America. These terror cells, in collaboration with drug cartels, get into Mexico, from which they enter the United States.

Mohammad Hussein Babai, the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, recently revealed that the Iranian terror cells, in coordination with Hezbollah, have infiltrated into the heart of Europe and America. Their mission, Mr. Babai said, is to help create an Islam-dominated world.

Reza Kahlili is a pseudonym for an ex-CIA spy who is a fellow with EMPact America and the author of “A Time to Betray,” about his double life in Iran’s Revolutionary Guards (Threshold Editions, Simon & Schuster, 2010).

Of course you're surprised. With your sponsored TV, Internet, media and press and everything presented to you, you only see Iran as a lovely country. While in reality, this is Iran:

Symbolic phtoos. Especially the last one given that Iranians are the highest heroine addicts in the world and among the highest drug addicts in the world overall. The fake wannabe Arab Iranian Mullah's are surely on something.
When Iranians are governed by such oppressive regime, they get to have some drugs to kill the brain cells that remind them of the harsh reality.

everyone knows Iran is not a democracy...
but saying links with Al Qaida is non sense.
Anyway Canada is famous for having some elements in government being very much anti Iran (especially from an Iranian activist wife of a minister)
