Be serious. The US military machine is the most powerful force to ever walk the face of the earth. In my "foreign relations course" my lecturer (a Chinese origin man btw) told us the US could easily take over ANY country in the world but it is the holding of captured land the US finds hard, mostly due to lack of political backing and fickle public feeling- the Americans don't like seeing their men coming back in body bags (that's why in Iraq and Vietnam they brought back the caskets at night).


In fact I think the USN fleet's tonnage is equal to the next 10 largest navies COMBINED.

Oh really? I didn't know that...I used to believe that U.S military sucks and anybody can kick their butt..Thank You for clarifying my misconceptions

No Irish soldiers are very professional - it's because they are a neutral country, they don't get to show it. But have met some guys who served with ol' Paddy in Lebanon as part of the UN peace keepers, and he thought well of the Irish.

Actually the have the most powerful military on earth yet thier track record in war is not that good....
