I am not sure why it is so but I am hating America everyday more.. even when I try to convince myself that they are an Ally my mind doesn't buy that.. I feel not only angered but also frustrated for not having a representation of this feeling from the political setup of the country. I am trying to find why is it so.. am I over-reacting or trying to be over-sensitive towards my National Issues or has America really reached a point where it deserves to receive that and I am justified in having this rage inside.

Am I the only one who is on to these lines?

Same here :what:
I dont know why I do. Maybe they are playing some inside game, as my mind says.

Or it is the words of David Ben Gurion that made it.

What is the specific issue you find that is leading you to hate America more ? Is it drone strikes ? If that is the case you should understand while it is obviously bad civilians are losing there lives there is little the U.S. can do to make these more precise. The terrorist are the overall priority here and they are in Pakistan so unless Pakistan has another mean to deal with them that will reduce causalities without compromising the operation this will keep going. So you must look at it more objectively.

GMSS: why do you have George W. Bush as your avatar? He's the most hated and ridiculed figure, second only to Hitler.

i like him thats why.i like the way he gives speech and other funny activities.nothing else more:)

There is no reason to hate America for the drone strikes in their present form. They happen with the involvement of the PA and if you dont know that, then I am surprised.

As for Americas past dealings w Pakistan, what is done is done. Instead of 'hating' make the best of the present situation and never put yourself in a similar situation in future. If you haven't noticed, we've been following both mantras viz our official policy.

America has much to teach us. Specifically the focus on innovation, garage entrepreneurship, risk taking and a rolling up the sleeves mentality it posessed in years gone by. Take the best of what America has to offer and ignore the rest if you so wish, but don't see a complex thing like an entire country in such a unidimensional way. You wouldn't be much better than the NYT is on Pakistan if you did that.

Pakistans future is incredibly bright, but unfortunately we pull our own morale down by myopically focussing on negativity. Time to change that.

this is wat i was saying. u deleted my post!! as for trolling

There is much to be admired in American culture.
There is little to be admired in their foreign policy for this region.

Well, if their foreign policy is flawed then they will have to bear the consequences. No need for others to waste time and mental energy in 'hate'. Let's take a page out of the Chinese manual and zip our lips, put our heads down and work our backsides off. Many of us are doing it and guess what... It works!

It is their foreign policy and it is aimed to work for them and their people. What is Pakistan's foreign policy and who is it aimed to please? make sure you know the difference between hate and jealousy. They will continue to do what is right for their people, while we are busy making more children and teaching them how to do exactly what you said.

i agree with u there in principle but brother for taking the best of what america has to offer fr nw we are paying too much of a price bcuz its nt a one way street it goes both ways and eventually the history keeps repeating itself and we keep putting ourselves in the same position.whether that's intentional or forced by circumstances doesnt matter.hence the end product is hate among common people.

Well said TechLahore.

While I do dislike/despise current American "foreign policy", that alone is not the big picture. America is still important to both China and Pakistan in a strategic sense. Geostrategically important for Pakistan, and Economically important for China.

For staters its nt just drone strikes and without going into the specific details i wud say its the general attitude that haunts and hurts the common pakitani public.our history is rich with american deceits, the ellusive 7th fleet never came in 71.but all these reasons are trivial really and we are very forgiving people and we did forgive n forget.i am willing to let anything go by under the pretence of let bygones be bygones and start a new healthy friendly relationship with the image of america but sadly they will do something tomorrow that would remind me of everything all over again. As for the objectivity of drone attacks just please come visit us and u will see for urself how objective or destructive they really are.regards.

I don't doubt that some Americans think this foreign policy serves America's long term interests, but there are also many Americans who disagree.

Leaving aside the Libertarian objections, it is a foreign policy that is not true to America's ideals. It betrays the core principles of its Constitution and Bill of Rights. Granted those documents were written for domestic application, but a government that compromises its principles in one instance will find it easier to do so again, elsewhere.

American people are not that bad especially in the North-Eastern United States. Equal opportunities are given to everyone and this generation of Muslims in America are doing well.

However, the foreign policy of the United States is very bad especially towards Muslim countries. Some Americans dont agree with its government's foreign policies but you will also find some Americans who are very stubborn and expect others to think their way.

The domestic policies in the United States is good but the foreign policies of the United States is not so good for Muslim countries.
