What's new

What’s up lately with Pak-KSA relations ?

.. And what exactly were you expecting Saudis n Emirates to do after 911. Send their British and US made jets to fight for Pakistan or Taliban.

TTP is an international listed terror organization, are you telling me GCC was defying international laws and were complicit in funding an international terror organization irrelevant to them? What did Pakistan do about it?

What agreement, mutual understanding or international court order you have for them to return anything. Your courts are croupt n unreliable. Today’s criminal will be tomorrow president.

Now remember all the time Saudis help us. What do we have offered them in return other than umma chumma Habibi plz more money.

Realistically, world relations are based on a two way road.

Well, if Saudis and Emirates couldn't do jackshit when we were being threatened then why should we do anything for them?? If they had their limitations then we also have our limitations on Syria and Yemen!

Banks used for terror financing were based in KSA and UAE. But they turned a blind eye.

UAE sponsorship of terrorists over Gwadar is another.

And we've done a lot for GCC as well. Go read history.

Even if we had supported these kingdoms in Syria and Yemen, they would still be investing in India despite what is being done in Kashmir. It's always about money and influence for them.

These kings of last few decades are only engaged in transactional relations. And we are giving the same in return so why cry over it eh?

KSA lost its mind and trying to become a total dictatorship , trying to play leader of Islamic world by using its wealth and they are pushing Pakistan into the corner where the Relationship will/might seen some backdrop . Honestly if its not for Mecca and Medina , KSA has no importance for Pakistan .

there are 3 million expatriates and periodic financial aid

For too long the Saudi's have been the benevolent elder brother who have been shaping the ME policies. It has been Ok until the advent of the current Saudi regime came to power. The tilt towards the US is now absolute. The clandestine growing influence of the Zionists in Saudi matters is alarming. Tilt towards India is just the last nail in the so called coffin of the deference that Pakistan had held the Saudi Arabia throughout it's history. We need to stand on our own economic feet. Stop taking hand out's and start increasing national production. Create our economic, diplomatic and security bloc that is not against anyone but more in support of each other. OIC seems to be hostage to the the policies of the Arab League. Pan Islamism has no sway with major Arab countries. Most of them are vying for a more closer tie with the US. In that context supporting India is part of their US appeasement policy. Saudi Arabia has pledged something like 75 to 100 bn USD investment in India. Well I think it's high time Pakistan take a new look to it's Arabian policy. However, having said that, we need to stay wary of the Iranians too.

Have you been under a cave or rock ? Saudis have been in bed with America since 1932

My post was based on the shift of the KSA dealings and policies directly affecting their relationship with Pakistan ... due to the increasing US influence of late. Whatever had been their relationship with the US in the past, is immaterial as long as it did not affect us directly.

I can only surmise from the rudeness of your reply that you are a person who tries put others down with brash comments for no reason other than perhaps to make yourself feel good.

You need help.

Realpolitik is a hard pill to swallow. Most people think a muslim will always help another muslim in trouble, but this is simply not true. Check out history and the history of infighting between muslims. Pakistan has a noble cause for being the shelter of the muslims from Bar-e-Saghir. And Pakistan is right about the Kashmir issue and its right about the Indian government.

Our problem is the economic situation. Too much socialism, too much cronyism, too much nepotism, too much corruption produced by the so-called "elite", and yes most Pakistanis do not want change. Every parent wants to say "Mera bheta parrea likhea hain" (My child is educated), but those people think that education comes next the morning just by wanting it. There is no support for our children and many elderly people and parents see in their children just an ATM to withdraw unlimited amount of money. A cousin of mine twice-removed started a webshop in Pakistan a few years ago, but his father forced him to stay in the family business.

We want change? There is no change by doing the same thing over and over again.

Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves. And when Allah intends for a people ill, there is no repelling it. And there is not for them besides Him any patron. [Quran Surah Ar-Ra'd 13:11]

Pakistan must implement liberal economic policies and stop trying to copy western statism. The west today is product of the economic freedom they had years ago. Being Muslim does not mean being a socialist or communist. Islam stands for free markets and economic freedom, this Umma socialism is nothing good! Pakistan needs to strengthen its economy, with enough money you can buy power and influence for other fellow muslims too!

Stop demanding help from others, trust in Allah and do your best for yourself, your family, your neighbourhood and for your home country.

Pakistan Zindabad!

It's not what you are saying is wrong. I can understand where you are coming from.

But your tone reflects the general malaise that seems to have afflicted many here on this forum. Talking brash and like a lout seems to be a way to boost your tiny self confidence.

Like I said, you need help.

if we stipulate trade should drive atleast 50% of a nation's policy, by following chart (Wikipedia, 2017 numbers), Turkey is a non-factor for Pakistan and vice versa.

China, EU (pre-brexit) and Malaysia are the only ones that should matter.
