Why is India scared of Arab?

But in India, with greater amounts of currency to deal with, they are still stuck at Crores.
They never use the term Arabs, you only hear Crores in any amounts. 1000 Crores would be 10 Arab, and 10,000 Crores would be 100 Arabs.
But they only use Crores, no matter how large the figure.
I used to read Arab a lot in Hindi newspapers when I used to read them.....? but sometimes they just give numbers in thousand crores of lakh crores because it's easier to comprehend.

India has a larger economy then Pakistan, therefore bigger budgets and larger amounts of currency to deal with.

Currency in South Asia is enumerated in Lakhs, Crores, Arabs and Kharabs.

Pakistan follows the normal process to numerate it's currency, so 100,000 is 1 Lakh, then the next incremental increase is a Crore, then Arab and a Kharab.

Why?

The rest of the world uses appropriate denominational terms, going from a million to billion and Trillion, it makes sense.

Why doesn’t India use the term Arab?
Is there a psychological reason behind it?

I thought maybe you guys can shed some light on this matter, I'm really confused.
Would be an interesting exercise to note the source of this discrepancy. Pakistanis despite living for centuries with gangetics use a different counting system.

They have been ruled over 2400 years right from Achaemenids to British as early as 535BC to 1947
Achaemenid conquest of the Indus Valley
Their culture seems revolve around servitude and invader worship

The current thread is an example of such sycophancy to find opportunities to pay respects to their historical overlords even in the most unusual ways

Arab is used in Hindi but not very often given its a vast number
Title of this video for example -
Says the guy from a country who uses foreign invented names like India, hindustan etc and those names also based on foreign lands. Now this is called worship when ones country take the name, history, culture, civilization even religion from foreign lands.

Arab is used in the Indian financial sector?! I've never seen this anywhere.

Secondly, it is strange if they don't teach millions and billions in UK schools. In India, they have up to billions in school. I don't remember if they have trillions though.

I don't know, what I said was that such large denominations are is use in the financial sector, so that's when you would hear such figures, Crore, Arab or Billion, Trillion. For instance news about the markets or budgets and such things.

I am in my 40s, I certainly do not remember such large figures been taught in school, I knew myself because I used to read the Financial Times in my teen years, largely due to its foreign coverage, which was very good at the time. But they were not specifically taught in schools because we did not come across such large figures. They may have been mentioned but not something taught specifically.

Yes, thank you.
I'm sure I used to hear it too on Indian side. Crore pati and Arab Pati was a thing, but at some point it stopped being used, maybe that's why I noticed it more, because I would use the term Arab when required, but my Indian friends never did, I have asked them but they have no answer.
Hence the curiosity.

It indeed would be very interesting.
Actually we use the same counting system, it's just the use of the correct terms has become different. In the South Asian region, it is lakh, Crore, Arab etc
In Pakistan we tend to use the correct terms as the figures go higher.
In India, the terminology is stuck at the Crore stage, Arab term has been discarded for some reason, and it really is very strange.

Don't know, don't care. Not an issue worth wasting time on.

However what is a pressing issue is why is Pakistan still using this obsolete Indian numeral system instead of the global standard system?

Similarly why is Pakistan is still using the imperial system instead of the metric system of measurement like the rest of the world?

Same reason worldwide people use millions and billions but not trillions. Tradition.

Thats completely incorrect.

Something beyond Rotterdam intellect, you should limit yourselves these pathological sycophancy ritualistic threads

. . .
I was not aware of Arabs and Kharabs. Opened this thread with the impression that the discussion was about India being afraid of middle eastern countries

Perhaps the reason why Indians don't use Arabs and Kharabs is because most people are not aware of it. I do find figures like '1 lakh crore' etc. difficult to process. Perhaps India may move to western number system to align with the rest of the world in future.

Interesting information
No thanks. We have a good numbering system which is among the oldest in the world. It is shared by the people across the Subcontinent. Let's keep at it. Maybe you live overseas so processing is difficult. But once you move to India, it is a matter of time you get used to it.

It would be better if we revalue the currency rather than keep adding zeros.

???????????

You come out making stupid claims based on a fantasy, I challenge you to an open debate.
Now you are crawling back into the hole you came from.

Thank you for showing your true class >>> Get back and stay in the sewer where you belong, you pathetic individual.

Can we please stick to the topic, rather the divert, its only respectful. This is about India, not Pakistan.

For the record Indian numerical system isn't about India, it's a regional heritage, including ours, India was a region before 1947, never a country, so it's a regional heritage.
And secondly, Pakistan uses both, it seems the global system is being used more often, and I do agree.

But this discussion had a specific topic, thank you.

British spent more than 150 years and all their intellectual and material resources to create this myth of India. It is not going to go away very easily, particularly, because it is spun and woven around a Hindu religious identity, and a perceived threat to this identity, from Muslims.

What point are you trying to make?
You've essentially agreed with everything I said, or did you not read your own post?

And, what hate against anyone, stop acting the fool.
If you want to discuss hate, that's against Islam and Muslims in India, especially from Hindu groups, it is so painfully naked.

Wow!!! Rich coming from a country which purged their Kuffar minority from 45% to almost 0%.

Still you are not done with, you people are now hounding Christians, Ahmedias, Hazaras.

You are now killing even foreigners by blaming them of BLASPHEMY.

So now The pot calling the kettle black.

Still dont have shame in using the nomenclatures and languages derived from Hindu origins.

Fool are you, Read the attachment posted by me.

It is very common in Hindu Language and Hind Newspapers to use ARAB in counting.

It is confusing for the outsiders because you read what is written in English Media, it is for ease of use and to ease understand of foreigners.

get lost with your hate.
