What's new

Whatever

Hey guys my brother is now offically sworn into the South Yorkshire Constabulary. He has been issued with warrent card and full kit. He is the only ethnic minority in his class of 22 cadet officers. But contrary to what people say he says everybody is cool. including his seniors and his colleagues. Those who talk of racism and inequity. The way to solve it is not croak at home. Go out there and change the world. Make a differance. That is the only way. Slowly but surely work your way up. Don't join the Blacks by finding excuses and blaming everybody else. Introspect and adapt.

Full cop. He is a law graduate from University of Sheffield. Assured of fast track promotion to senior ranks which is reserved for candidates bringing exceptional qualifications or expertise. Will keep you guys posted of his career progression.

Where's the DAMN gun ??! Oh yeah,I forgot.
No guns. This is UK. Not wild West USA.

@Irfan Baloch You know how they talk about Pakistani areas being "bad" well here is a inside fact. When the posting list came all the cops were hoping they would NOT get Parsons Cross or Manor/Chapeltown. Barnsley was another "no please". All these areas are white working class rough neighbourhoods. Apparently Abbeydale Road area full of Pakistani's is a doddle by comparison yet on media Pakistani areas get all the stick. Don't forget this is the real end of reality. The cops know where you have it hard etc

Ps. PCSO uniforms are differant. They are not issued the old style bobby helmets and their uniforms also carry the light blue PCSO tag.

:cheers:Totally concur Sir.......And kudos to your brother for serving the community, I am sure it is not an easy job especially since British police are unarmed but then having seen pics of your brother, he does look like a large well built chap who will be imparted the appropriate training to deal with any hoodlums so he should be in good stead no question about it, one suggestion I shall make (your brother may already be pursuing this) is to enroll in a good Brazilian Ju-Jitsu club, this seems to be the perfect martial art for restraining/controlling folk.Kudos bro

If it was my brother I’d buy him one anyway. Most police officers here have never fired their gun while on duty. But for those who have...I’m sure were glad they had it.
It's not a question of buying them. It's not easy buying guns here and only specialist armed response vehicle [ARVs] officers are authorised to carry firearms in British police constabularies. Most officers carry baton, CS spray and or Tazer. The emphasis is to rely on tack, persuasion, negotiation, respect to serve the community in the belief that the majority are decent citizens even if they might fall foul of the law. Of course for the extreme fringe 'evil' who might be armed the ARVs are prowling about to be called when needed. And by the way most British police forces prefer the restricted use of firearms and this is supported widely across the political spectrum and not limited to the bleading heart liberals on the left.

And the proof in the pudding is the product. Check out US and UK murder rates including gun crimes. Even what we have is mostly Black on Black gun crime in London.

Why should we not be people of Indus Valley Civilization.

Because people of IVC left their homes in unknown circumstances and never returned to rehabilitate them. In other words they weren't fittest to survive.

@I.R.A sir, you will agree that people of ruins are not right people to idealize.

Good evening. :victory:

Just wanted to keep you updated about something. You might laugh about me,or at the same time feel depressed or sorry for me. :agree:

So,do you guys remember my struggle with ISPs ? You remember that few weeks ago I had a new one ? You remember how I said everything were ok...... YET. Because the first days were ok,but then things absolutely went wrong. One day, internet,TV and landline were not working. So,as everyone would do,I called the ISP to know what's going on ? They said it was a problem in the area and that they were trying to quickly fix it.... so no problems there....

However,it wasn't fixed and I decided to call them back..... And what do I learn ? That "I put an end to the contract",which of course I didn't. The persons on phone (with strong north african accents,in probably one of those relocated call centers...) thought I was a football ball by transfering me services to another, before explaining me that I asked the contract to be ended and that's why I lost internet,TV etc. Obviously I say I didn't do sh*t and they better get it sorted out quickly. They reply to me they can't nothing and that I had to subscribe to another contract,to open a new line, which of course I would not f*cking do. (And paying again €49)

However, the best is yet to come. Since I had a 1 year contract,I am 'obviously' asked to pay all the monthly bills that I had to pay according to the contract if it was 'broke...' And that's above €400! I looked on the internet and seems like I wasn't the only one to be in this situation. Obviously, they can f*ck themselves they won't get a penny. :agree: (Made sure my bank would not let them get €1)

Obviously having enough,I have asked the mediator of the telecoms for help and to find a solution.... before suing their sorry @sses in front of a court.

What a sh/tty life. :victory:

Good evening.
Evening, at least look on the positive side. In a world of big, big problems your biggest problem is ISP. Like right now guess what is my biggest problem? Finding a quality shirt below £50 that slim fit, 17 inch collar and extra long sleeve with small collars [hate the aircraft wings some shirts have] and non iron. I like extra long sleeves so I can put on my cuffs and the shirt collar is well exposed when wearing a blazer. Why fussy you think. Well when driving the sleeve shrinks backward as I like drive with one hand stretched and that hides my cuffs.

That is my b*tch of a problem.Yep what a sh*tty life we have. Was just now looking at this site.

who cancelled your contract? was it within 30 days of your service starting? if so then you can cancel hassel free.
now the problem for you is to get your service back up.

long story short check if you have received and emails or letters that state your contract is cancelled or check on your online account if they provide the facilities. if you can see your still in a contract then ring back and make a complaint and make it explicit you want to make a complaint due to termination of services. they have to solve all complaints with a certain period, well thats for us brits, the eu may be the same. also make sure your not being charged whilst your services are not working.

if you can see your out of the contract check if you have paid your bill or any amount you owe as a bounced transaction may result in termination of services. also see how the contract was cancelled, did someone ring and cancel it?

also once you solved the matter its worth asking have a password on the account where only you can access the account and make changes.

as for the north africain accent either deal with it or ask to speak with a fellow frenchy.

i do that here, when i speak to an indian who says there name is james or any other white boy name, it annoy's me from the beginning as there lying to you straight away. i just take the piss out of them and talk back to them in an indian accent and call them ravi to piss them of and deliver the message. it it racist? yeah, but idk.

i have had a shit load of problems when i lived in the city i had sky. so i pretty much deal with the fu*kers once a couple of months. now im with virgin media and live just out of town so im all good.
