US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is set to outline the Donald Trump administration's new strategy toward Iran, weeks after the US president announced to withdraw from the 2015 multilateral Iran nuclear deal.

Pompeo will deliver his first foreign policy speech at the conservative Heritage Foundation in Washington, DC, on Monday, where he is expected to censure the Europeans for refusing to go along with Trump’s decision to unilaterally walk away from the Iran nuclear deal, known as the JCPOA.

"Looking forward to speaking [at Heritage] on Monday, May 21, about the road ahead on [Iran]," Pompeo tweeted over the weekend.

The State Department’s top policy adviser, Brian Hook, said Friday that Pompeo will lay out the administration’s plans to negotiate a “new framework that’s going to address the totality of Iran’s threats.”

Other Trump administration officials have said the new US strategy will encompass "a new security architecture" that extends beyond Iran’s peaceful nuclear program to also include its missile technology, activities in Syria and Yemen, according to CNN.

On May 8, Trump announced his decision to withdraw the United States from nuclear deal despite efforts by the European allies to convince him to stay in the 2015 agreement.

Trump also signed a presidential memorandum to impose the “highest level of sanctions” against Iran and said the US would punish companies and countries that violate those sanctions.

Washington faces an uphill task to convince European allies to back the new sanctions as European companies could lose billions of dollars in commercial deals struck since the nuclear accord, and lose access to a major new export market.

On Sunday, French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire indicated the EU could offer financial help to European countries that would be hard-hit by American sanctions if they continued doing business with Iran.

European allies of the US are growing increasingly frustrated over Trump's decision to pull out from the deal.

Last week, European Council President Donald Tusk condemned Trump, suggesting Europe could no longer rely on its old ally.

"With friends like that who needs enemies," Tusk tweeted, referring to Trump.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Sunday the EU's "political support" for the nuclear agreement is not enough, urging the bloc to take more practical steps to boost economic cooperation with Iran.

"With the US exiting the JCPOA, public opinion's expectations from the European Union have increased to save the JCPOA's achievements," the top Iranian diplomat said.

The psychopathic warmongers Trump replaced the all-too-moderate Rex Tillerson with - in another example of Jared Kushner and MbS clumsy foreign policy management - can do nothing more than yell at this stage. The Israelis won't get what they want. They're taking a beating on the Golan, no matter how hard they try to hide it, and the IDF is going to need a whole lot more adult diapers if the situation arises demanding they fight on ground under any circumstances. Turkey no longer cooperates with NATO's destructive agenda, Russia is unfazed, Iran is relentless, the Resistance goes strong across the Levant and all in all I think Bolton and Pompeo are going to have many sleepless nights to come.

May Pakistan stand with Iran against the enemy, who are for sure enemies of Pakistan as well. Don't forget that, during the most shameless of our stage in history when Musharraf decided to make us patsies for the West, the warmongers still wanted Pakistan denuclearized or destabilized. We have no place in the West.

We should have nukes ... Pakistan survived , so we can survive ...

I was reading an analysis that if a war break in ME , the oil price will go up to 80-100 $ per barrel and then USA can produce extra 3-4 billion $ shale oil and replace Persian gulf oil and even become major oil exporter along Russia ....
the analysis show that exporting 3-4 billion shale oil per day will increase USA direct income up to 300 billion $ in year which will create enough jobs for Americans ...

so USA just need a war in Persian gulf which destroy Iran and KSA and other tiny Arab state Oil facilities .... the funny point is that Russia as major oil exporter is happy about this issue ...

so before winter , USA will force Arab state and her eu slaves to attack Iran which will lead to destruction of region .... so the war is a reality for us ....

Sanctions did compel Iran to focus on domestic reforms in the 1980s which allowed it at least to have a well-to-do population and dedicate resources, time and funding to sectors that have long-term dividends like education, healthcare etc.

How can nukes stop sanctions?

did your so called nuclear deal and canceling nuclear program stop sanctions !?

how can taking off our pants and laying on our belly stop sanctions !? the only thing we will receive from such action is something else ....
we act as you guys plan , and we failed , now we should try something else ...

if We have nukes in worst case scenario , we will make another JCPOA for just destroying our nukes in exchange of lifting all sanction ( and we should keep our nuclear capability as well ) - or just use them and **** up everyone in the world -- not like current state that we are basically saying :" should we shave our *** for you to enjoy more or you like it hairy !? " ( this is the reality of situation , maybe you don't like it , but this is reality ... )

side note : now that the western find out that we are vulnerable to sanction , they won't abandon it ...

China didn’t provide any guarantees to Iran as well when that stooge Zarif went to visit.

Iran is alone right now. Reality is China, Russia, or EU will bow to US.

Also if only one country (China) or two countries (China and russia) are willing to help Iran that makes them hold leverage in negotiating any deals with Iran. So they will receivable very favorable terms because they know Iran is desperate with no where else to go.

How can nukes stop sanctions?

let me tell you how, Once you have a nuclear arsenal one can declare any economic sanctions are equal to declaration of war and we reserve the right to respond militarily to any economic sanctions.
Remember after the last round of UN sanction on NK , Kim regime announced any further sanction is declaration of war and guess what happened after that? no more sanctions came in.

they knew , but they are pretending to sleep ....
if we have nukes , we simply can shot strait of hormoz , attack Israel and even force our neighbours to enter nuclear arm race in EU border ( EU see Muslims as crazy suicidal people )

Trump is gambling on our fear ...
we should make nukes and get out from their game field or else we will get destroyed ...

Those of us who don't cherish prostitution to the West - which is most of us - will gladly do it.

And here are U.S. bases in the Middle East

It's seems Trump wants Iran to disarm it's self by it's self so Trump can have himself an easy war!
They want Iran to hand over all it's missiles and they want Iran to give full access to all locations so they know exactly where to hit!

This is the result of an Iranian administration that has been weak on Defense!

Iran's response should be clear! And if the Rohani administration is too weak to do it than Iran's parliament or the IRGC needs to step in!
1st off Iran's parliament needs to step in and increase Iran's Defense budget to $25-$30 Billion USD a year and focus on creating jobs though the defense industry with $20 Billion USD a year going directly towards domestic weapons production.

Last thing Iranians want is a war with the U.S. but at the same time we can't have our heads stuck in the clouds like some in the Rohani Administration!
