Pakistan, China discuss ongoing situation after Pahalgam attack​

Ambassador of China to Pakistan Mr Jiang Zaidong calls on President Asif Ali Zardari

Pakistan and China discussed on Monday the current situation between between Islamabad and New Delhi in the aftermath of the Pahalgam incident.

Ambassador of China to Pakistan Mr Jiang Zaidong called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr, said a statement by the President Secretariat today.

During the meeting, President Zardari expressed concern over the recent irresponsible and aggressive rhetoric by the Indian government, and said that such actions “threaten regional peace and stability”.


Moreover, President Zardari conveyed his deep appreciation and gratitude to the Chinese for its consistent support, which has always stood by Pakistan in difficult times.

The Chinese ambassador reaffirmed the enduring and time-tested friendship between China and Pakistan, describing the relationship as one of “ironclad brothers” who have always supported each other in challenging times, added the statement.

“He thanked President for sharing Pakistan’s perspective, and emphasized that China would always support Pakistan to achieve the common desire of both countries to secure peace and stability in South Asia.”

Last week, in meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Ambassador Zaidong expressed gratitude to the PM for presenting Pakistan’s position and facts in detail regarding the attack in IIOJK, underscoring that China would continue to stand by Pakistan in its efforts to achieve long-term peace in the region.

China’s defence stocks rise after Indo-Pak clash​

SHARES of Chinese defence-manufacturing companies rallied on Wednesday, as the escalation in border tensions between India and Pakistan boosted the outlook for mainland exporters, Bloomberg reported.

Pakistan, which has imported a bulk of the defence equipment including J-10C fighter jets, claimed to have shot down five Indian planes, including a French Rafale jet.

This led to speculation that Chinese defence platforms may have been deployed in the conflict, given Pakistan’s recent heavy reliance on such arms imports.

An index of Chinese defense companies in mainland China jumped 1.6 per cent to a two-week high. The J-10C fighter jet maker Avic Chengdu Aircraft Company was among the biggest gainers, with its stock rising the most since Oct 14.

Deputy PM Ishaq Dar said on Wednesday that its air force used Chinese J-10C jets in its response to India’s attack, according to state-owned Associated Press of Pakistan.

Most modern domestically-developed Chinese platforms have not yet been battle-tested, said Eric Zhu, a defence analyst at Bloomberg Intelligence. “So having the combat record is a plus for their export potential.” Pakistan has been buying the bulk of its arms from China.

Can only provide weapons to Pakistan.

China does not operate any suicide drones and its SRBM's/ IRBM's are vulnerable to ABM systems.

Anything else we don't need.

We obviously had multiple types of Chinese SHORAD systems to defend the HQ-9/ 16 batteries but they failed to detect the Harpy/ Harop/ Sky Striker kamikaze's no?

Yes we did shoot down half the Indian Kamikaze drones but the other half homed in and took out our major SAM systems.

I believe it was failure at multiple levels and among multiple weapons systems.

I refuse to admit that all Chinese systems are junk, however, I also refuse to believe that all Pakistani system operators were incompetent.

Like I've said, an inquiry needs to be commissioned to better understand what failed and why.

Its the only way to improve.

Indian military has unfortunately humbled us and we are in disarray and more importantly the Chinese are in turmoil.

Its not that the Chinese weapon systems are completely worthless.......

It is a combination of ineptitude and incompetence among our higher echelons in the Pak military who are complacent and hence incompetent.

We failed to understand hybrid warfare like how Israel with unlimited US/ western aid tackles the Iranians.

Likewise we just got surprised by Indian machinations, cuz obviously their defense budget ten times ours no?

This where the chutiya gets exposed on the internet, who refuses to accept reality no?

Whatever damages have been incurred will get fixed up and most of the damage is not very serious, and newer more effective weaponry will be acquired from sources other than China or Turkey now.

Dis da only aircombat which took place.......lol

Not a single PAF nor IAF jet got shot down.

And jets are now pretty much junk anyway. Just stand off launch platforms for cruise missiles or aero-ballistic missiles.

As soon as one flies, the ADS is activated and assumes a strike ALCM is inbound.

Any Pakistani or Indian who believes otherwise is a fukking idiot!

I am only taking exception to your last statement: Iran is far ahead. This is Iran that sent 200 lumbering drones that all got intercepted on the way?

They potentially landed one successful projectile on the parameter of the Israeli air base .
