Turkish TAI TF-X in line with what PAF wants: PAC Kamra Chairman Air Marshal

Thanks but again this raises the question, how will Turkey develop a fifth generation engine based on an engine that is already several decades old and if RR was not willing to guarantee IP, what about an US-based engine in mind of the current Turkish-US relations?

Toa admit ... all I see are problems, insurmountable problems Turkey could neither solve alone, nor in the given timeframe or without political changes.

But we'll see.
Logic is not important for Erdoğan

.
I agree that technically, Pakistan cannot offer much to Turkey in such advanced project. But Operationally, PAF can add invaluable input in the form of input against both symmetrical and asymmetrical threats.

Basically all of Mr MME's answer could be conclude as : Don't worry, all is well.

Turkey doesnt need Pakistan or any muslim country for Turkish military projects , they have no technology to help Turkey

sooner or later Turkey will develop TFX Fighter Jet , ATAK-II heavy Attack Helicopter , TF-2000 class AAW Destroyer , MILDEN class AIP Submarine , HISAR and G-40 and SIPER and GUMS Air Defense Systems , GaN based AESA Radars , Airborne stand off Jammer , Turboshaft - Turbofan Engines , Aircraft Carrier , high energy LASER Weapon , hypersonic Electromagnetic Rail Gun and many more high tech NATO standart weapons

and other muslim countries will keep depending on the US or China or Russia

Turkey could solve problems for Turbojet , Turboprob and Turboshaft engines for Cruise Missiles , UAV-UCAVs and Helicopters

-- KALE KTJ3200 Turbojet engine for SOM and ATMACA Cruise Missiles
-- TEI PD-170 , PD-220 , PD-550 Turboprob engines for ANKA , AKSUNGUR and AKINCI UCAVs
-- TEI TS-1400 Turboshaft Engine for T-129 Attack and T-625 Utility Helicopters and HURKUS trainer-light attack Aircraft

also Turkey to develop new engines for GEZGIN land-naval based Cruise Missile , MIUS stealth UCAV , ATAK-2 heavy Attack Helicopter and 12 tons class Utility Helicopter

and Turkey can develop turbofan engine in 10-12 years ..... and in 2018 TRMOTOR has signed an agreement to develop turbofan engine for TF-X project ..... ( the US or anyone are nothing to do with Turkish turbofan engine project)

Turkish turbofan engine project

btw still American GE F110-132 Engine superior to Russian and Chinese Engines
America didnt need Turkey or other partners for the F35. China didnt need Pakistan for the jf17.
Please please think

What Turkey needs are their fund and orders to get the ToT from the west.

ToT for what?

Turkey needs only support for Engines, everything else is not that much of a problem.

F-35 is multi national project and the eight Turkish companies supported the development or production of F-35 / F135 Engine

Alp Aviation has been supporting the program since 2004 and currently manufactures F-35 production airframe structure and assemblies, production landing gear components and over 100 F135 production engine parts to include titanium integrated blade rotors

Ayesas currently is the sole source supplier for two major F-35 components – missile remote interface unit and the panoramic cockpit display

Fokker Elmo manufactures 40% of the F-35 Electrical Wiring & Interconnection System (EWIS) and will also deliver and support TAI with all center section wiring systems. Fokker Elmo is also developing the EWIS for the F135 engine

Kale Aerospace has been supporting the F-35 since 2005. In conjunction with Turkish Aerospace Industries, they manufacture and produce F-35 airframe structures and assemblies. Kale Aero also supports Heroux Devtek as the sole source supplier for all three variants landing gear up lock assemblies.
Additionally, Kale Aerospace has also established a joint venture in Izmir with Pratt & Whitney and is manufacturing production hardware for the F135 engine

Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) has been strategically supporting the F-35 Program since 2008. The company currently supplies production hardware that goes into every F-35 production aircraft
TAI manufactures the center fuselages, produces composite skins and weapon bay doors, and manufactures fiber placement composite air inlet ducts.
Additionally, TAI is strategically manufacturing 45% of the F-35’s including Air-to-Ground Pylons and adapters which is Alternate Mission Equipment (AME)

also Turkey was selected to have the first European Regional F135 Engine depot overhaul capability

what can Pakistan or other muslim countries do for TFX development or production ? they can not develop even GaN based AESA Radar or electronic systems for the TFX ?

İf Turkey allow muslim countries to join the TFX project then they should be happy that a muslim country offers high tech project which is only a few in the world

What can Turkey do independently?

everything but needs 10-12 years

Am really happy for Turkey and the progress that she has made over the years both economically and in defence production but having said that you dont have to look down upon Pakistan as if we dont know anything or we are noobs...despite her shortcomings Pakistan still has her strengths....dont forget that...

only for production and need your $$$ to develop/complete, they did whole research for the project of F-35 in USA @MMM-E ;):enjoy:

Pakistan missed JV on the J-10, the WS-13 and the Chinese AESA radar.

Let's not miss this boat for FGFA, whether it's Chinese or Turkish. The positive effects on the economy will be profound.

on the other hand Pakistan is ahead of Turkey in Ballistic Missile technology

China can not allow Pakistan to join J20 , J31 projects

and if China is brother to Pakistan then China should give new technologies to Pakistan instead of JF-17
because of Turkey and Pakistan can develop much better Fighter Jet than JF-17

btw if China allow Pakistan to J20 or J31 , then I will happy for PAF to protect Pakistani skies

Turkish companies earns billions of dollars in F-35 program

When two or more countries have the same needs, they would choose JV.

But what PLAAF and PLAN need are not the same as PAF.

J-20 is just based on the needs of PLAAF, while JF-17 is only based on the needs of PAF.

JVs in Europe always delay, due to trying to persuade each other.
